my favorite movie of all time

loaned this to a friend of mine and never saw it again

I've not replaced it.

Literally just had this movie recommended to me a couple hours ago. If this is you Ken, I promise I will watch it.

It’s actually a pretty standard idea, and genius
>Main character is a typical 80s action hero tossed into a martial arts/mysticism film with no warning

Reddit the movie

What a dog shit movie this was.

Kill yourselves

I'd say it's more

>Idiot sidekick thinks he's typical 80s action hero and the star of the movie.

YOU CAN FEEL THE WIND IS RISIN' BABY, NOW THE TRUTH IS HERE

I’m sorry, who caught the dagger again??

well, in the sense that it's a good and perfectly coherent film yeah. but technically it was a pretty big flop which upset me to learn.

Flash Gordon.

> a movie’s worth is directly tied to the amount of money it made on release
Cringe

me

I'm sorry, who was unconscious, then stuck under the corpse of a dead guy for the entire climactic fight?

Wang Chi is the one who has the badass skills, who has the damsel to rescue, who's got the badass troupe and gets the girl at the end. He's the hero.

Jack is the bumbling sidekick, but he doesn't realize it. That's where a large part of the humor is rooted.

Y I K E S

This movie had one of the most out-of-left-field lines ever scripted in film dialogue:

Wang Chi: Here's to the Army and Navy and the battles they have won; here's to America's colors, the colors that never run.
Jack Burton: May the wings of liberty never lose a feather.
