Was he funny?
Was he funny?
objectively yes
>t. paulie shore
No OP. He was a forced unfunny piece of shit that only got a shot in the first place because of his powerful mommy. Nepotism doesn't breed talent.
Avoid the Noid
More of a character comedian really
was funny in the 90s buuuuuuudy
This. Unfunny comedian, funny actor.
Lol no
What was funny is what he did to get excommunicated from Hollywood.
Had his moments. Constrained by writers. Unfiltered he's a guy who knows what funny is and can roll with other guys.
story?
Allegedly he liked to get fucked up on drugs and beat the shit out of callgirls. One of those girls was Denise Richards before she made it big. She was the favourite of a big time studio exec as well as Charlie Sheen and when they found out what happened they had him blackballed from the industry and pretty much run out of town.
Ever wonder why his career just stopped dead despite still being a bankable star, that's the rumour of how he managed to fuck his career over so bad
No, but I still can't stop watching Bio‑Dome once in awhile.
Encino Man is better
t. Pancreas
What a legend.
It probably is, but I haven't seen that one since I was a kid
Agreed. Encino Man is his best, than son in law, and then the rest of his trash filmography.
he was funny in the sense that he should have been funny. the scenes, the situations, the inflections, often the dialogue told the viewer "this is going to be funny" so we prepare ourselves to laugh, so we do laugh, even though it wasn't actually all that comedic
i re-watched that one a while back. the opening credits felt way longer than i remembered.
>I-I LAUGHED BUT IT WASN'T FUNNY I SWEAR!!
i love me some shore kino i dont give a single fuck what anyone thinks
>forgetting encino man
t. boomer
better now?
Yes, but so was Adam Sandler in the 90's.
shore he was man
Encino Man isn't a Pauly Shore movie. My favorite was always Bio-Dome, but I prefer Jury Duty and In the Army Now over the overrated Son in Law.
yes
Honestly. No. I lived through the entire time he was 'popular. With the exception of Encino Man it was one hundred percent manufactured.
Funnier than some of the shit nowadays
They were well written movies worth a watch or two, he has a funny personality and was likely allowed to work it into the films with a little improv here and there
But he was still making movies when Denise Richards was already famous.
In The Army Now was good despite Andy Dick
Son in Law was ok too.
but that's it
Wow it's almost like that story is completely made up.
Encino Man >> his other shit
Sounds about right.
Honestly was probably the case for a lot of comedic actors like Jim Carrey even, not necessarily that funny on their own but they had the ability to play a funny character on screen really well.
Son in Law and Encino Man are good movies. I still to this day say "no weeezing the j-j-j-juice" whenever I see an Arab or south Asian, it's a powerful film
His problem is his style only looks appropriate on someone young. Once he was older it looked less endearing and more pathetic. Which would probably work now.
Not really, he was like Bill & Ted, so of it's era that it aged like hum bum in the summer sun.
Waynes World was making fun of that whole era so that's why it's alot more universal and timeless.
fucking based. He should of killed those bitches too
>Gettting to Dom Denise Richards stupid fucking beautiful "I'm gonnna be a pilot" face
Yeah I'd be pissed to. LOL CHARLIE SHEEN MARRIED HIS CALL GIRL? That's so Cartel
Jim Carrey has funny stand up routines though?
