That's why I love The Return. Lynch not only says "you can't go back" but kinda yells "and you're wasting your time trying." I remember in old /TPG/ threads where folks were saying Lynch was shitting on people who watched season 3 for answers. Rewatching this scene, and the new one in the show, they were definitely right.
