I keep trying to watch these old movies like the ones from D.W. Griffith but he's hopelessly racist. I don't see the appeal. I had to rate Broken Blossoms 1 and a half stars. I mean seriously. The Yellow Man? This movie put too much emphasis on skin color than content of character. I couldn't even finish the movie since I found it deeply offensive. And the main guy is supposed to be Asian but the actor clearly is not. He just squinted his eyes a little.
At least it was free to watch on YouTube and I got to watch it on my laptop in bed. If I paid actual money for this I would've been really upset, and since I didn't watch the entire movie it wasn't a complete waste of time. I guess I just don't understand the appeal of the silent movies. They're just too old and outdated.

He secretly likes tarantino which is why he was probably overjoyed that he had the chance to rate one highly without giving up the pseudo-patrician facade he created for himself. He used to have tarantino films and similar reddit trash rated highly before he revamped his profile. Even recently he gave bad times at el royale 3 stars which is practically a tarantino film. The fact that he rated that highly while giving terrible ratings to tarantino films just shows how fake his taste is.
