I've never watched any of the Nolan Batman movies, but the only one I'm interested in is The Dark Knight. Do I need to watch Batman Begins first, or is it unnecessary?
I've never watched any of the Nolan Batman movies, but the only one I'm interested in is The Dark Knight...
Apparently there were people at the time who were surprised that TDK was a sequel, so I'm guessing not.
no
You can skip it, you know who Batman is right?
Don't skip it
but begins is the best one, pleb
skip batman begins, it’s such a nothing film. if you’re going to continue past tdk, stop after the plane scene in tdkr
Unless you want to see his parents get killed again, you can skip it.
>I've never watched any of the Nolan Batman movies
then why the fuck are you here you retard? Gtfo
Nah, the Dark Knight works fine as a stand-alone. You pick up on anything necessary by just knowing who Batman is already.
you are absolutely pathetic
Says the guy who hasn't seen one of the kino trilogies. Yeah, ok buddy
I should go see TDK at the local imax this Saturday.
Yes. Otherwise you wouldn't know relationship between Bruce Wayne and Batman.
no let him skip it, trash like this doesn't deserve any replies
begins is probably the best capeshit origin story put unto film
also OP is a twerp fag
Batman Begins is the only actually decent movie in the trilogy.
The only redeeming element in TDK is Heath Ledger's performance, which isn't enough to make it a good movie.
TDKR is useless for anything other than meme value
Not OP. Also, I'm not the one seething because an internet user hasn't seen my favorite superhero movie like a faggot. Grow up, shit stain.
No. I prefer to seethe
Yeah you can watch it without seeing the first, I did, and I had a blast at the cinema.
nolan has never made a good movie.
he made quite a few, you must have missed them
You should watch it because it's better.
>Apparently there were people at the time who were surprised that TDK was a sequel, so I'm guessing not.
Batman Begins flew under the rated somehow, I didnt know it existed unil I saw the parody of it at the MTV movie awards
what the fuck is that cursed gif. delete it immediately
It's true. I had know idea about it until the day I went to see it in theaters. My friend asked if I wanted to go see Batman and I thought why not? Was really surprised at how much they lifted from Year One.
No you don't. I didn't, and I followed everything just fine. Pretty much the only detail I think that relies on the previous is that wayne manor had been burned down in the last film, so Bruce Wayne lives in a penthouse instead, and the batcave is just a big concrete room hidden beneath a shipping container, but I didn't know that was for any specific reason, I thought that was just their versions of the trope.
Feel free to just watch Dark Knight, it's a great movie.
Things that Batman Begins sets up for TDK:
>Why no Wayne Manor/Batcave
>Bruce's relationship with Rachel
>Scarecrow (just for that one scene)
>Why the Batmobile is a tank and why Bruce has access to military-grade equipment
Other than that TDK does pretty well as a standalone film.
You need to watch the remastered version not the original
