This is a stupid and sentimental movie. The only thing saving it to some degree is the cinematography, which is impressive albeit hollow. Any kind of emotive response to this is baited and contrived. Any kind of intellectual response is misconstrued and stupid. There is only one Blade Runner film, with this abomination as a cancerous abscess on its memory.

It's dishonest

it insists upon itself

Why did he care so much about being human? He was a replicant that was stronger, faster and smarter than humans.

It's a love letter to me

When did you first realise you were a transvestite?

Imagine thinking your entire being is literally soulless.

Everything about it is contrived. Nothing happens out of necessity, only by sheer will of the creator of the movie.

he was autistic

The only thing that bothered me in the Blade Runner 2049 was how it implied Deckard and Rachael were so much in love. That wasn't shown at all in the original film? She was depressed, Deckard semi-raped her, and then they went off together.

thats being slowly burned

It’s a Tour de France

It basically ripped off Wizard of Oz, with our protagonist meeting deficient folks along the way, searching for “home” with a evil high tech “witch” as nemesis, and ultimately realizing it was a con.

I think it worked, in a way.

You say that because you never seen a miracle.

Sentimental is a negative?

This
The entirety of Blade Runner is a parallel between Deckard, a human who is becoming a soulless robot, and just rapes and kills, Vs. Roy, a replicant who becomes more human and learns to see the beauty of life.
Deckard was not even slightly hinted at loving her in the first one. If anything he acts even more autistic than Joe.

Yep. That was my only major gripe though. The other minor things I didn't like were Jared Leto and also Deckard's "costume"

Can't wait for Dune

It has cinematography over the first one, but not much else

No the first one had better shots. This one is all look its symmetrical that means kino right

Maybe they thought humans where cool, sort of like gangster rappers.

>muh major gripe

She was programmed to have his d and was subservient as fuck. Part of his journey involved not being such a dick to replicants, which he seemed to have learned at the very end.
