eughhh stop with the depressing movies

what are some upbeat bloomer kinos?

Billy Wilder's shit is usually ebullient and fun. That shit aint allowed these recent decades, though

This probably isn’t even ironic.

Batman v Superman
Fury Road
The Great Beauty
Cloud Atlas
Infinity War/Endgame
Pain and Gain
Moonrise Kingdom
La Danza De La Realidad
Twin Peaks: The Return (If we're also counting television series)

Not by any means objectively the best movies of the decade, just some of my personal favourites.

bait

was the last decade the worst one ever?

Good Time
Spring Breakers
The Florida Project
Dogtooth
A Separation
It's Such A Beautiful Day
Holy Motors
The Master
Toni Erdmann
First Reformed

no, the 2000s were much worse overall.

there is a shitload of money available to make movies today.

>no one else ITT mentioned this one, shame on you

*ahem*

Solid taste

Dogtooth is from 2009. I forgot to put A Separation and It's Such A Beautiful Day
in my list, good catch.

There were no good movies made this decade

It was pretty fucking weak for sure. Movie making has become so scientific and cynical that there’s now an extremely defined line between blockbusters and tiny independent movies. Only a handful of directors can get a midsized movie made. Virtually all of the award season films have been cynical as fuck. You could honestly list the movies from 2007 alone and it would match any “best of the 2010s” lists.

if you wanted the reddit quintology then you should've put endgame over infinity war, people like it better

No there’s a shitload of money for Disney and other major studios making stupid capeshit and animated movies for manchildren. Everything else is falling by the wayside.

I have never seen a single person say they prefer Endgame over Infinity War other than myself.

Very good list

This is without any doubt the absolute worst decade for mainstream films. Overall it was pretty good for independent movies.

Arrival
Harry Potter
Interstellar
Inception
The Big Short
The Hunt
The Edge of Seventeen
Spotlight

tactical La Mer to silence the plebs

which is more of a pleb filter, this movie or Only God Forgives?

social network
moonrise kingdom
kings speech
whiplash

how was it good then? what am I missing?

Social Network
Girl With the Dragon Tattoo
Annihilation
The VVitch
Drive
Blade Runner 2049

i have not seen a single movie in this picture
i feel like im not missing anything
tell me if im mistaken

it's that all the smaller movies are released to streaming services instead of getting wide release. a lot of stuff gets lost, and the amount of good material is still finite, so yeah it seems like only the heavily marketed films exist.

72 movies

lol are you 15?

Post yours

26. What was so good about that weird movie?

Nothing much. Keep watching what you like and you will be fine.

How is it weird? It's almost Handmaids tale tier, even my dumb normie sister liked it

>Handmaids
If you are talking about korean knock-off - it's shite.

there's not much I like anymore, so...

the whole plot? the people, the animals.
what I liked about it is that I didn't quite know what to expect and that it wasn't standard, but it wasn't really interesting either. I didn't really care for any of the characters.

I'm talking about the shitty show that every 20 something year old female watches. There's not much weird about either of them if you've seen a good amount of movies made in the last 50 years faggot

Well excuse me for not knowing every shitty show that every 20yo slag watches. Also i'm not the guy you were talking to.
I find Lobster quite enjoyable.

Well that guy is a faggot anyway. Imagine being 26 and saying a movie is weird you sound like a 15 year old girl

>but it wasn't really interesting either. I didn't really care for any of the characters.
This.That movie was stupid.

it really falls off after Colin escapes the facility.

>I have to care about the characters or i won't like it
