Sharona felt like a nurse, which she was, so she didn't always put up with Monk's shit. Natalie felt like a rando who took the job because she needed it and so she seemed less like a veteran in her frustrations. No real preference myself. Both worked well.

They go into his childhood a little bit. Monk was always fastidious but Trudy helped make him normal. He was emotionally abused by his mother and he had to care for both her and his brother when his dad walked out.
