The book is seriously amazing and made the movie better. Some of the super dark genetic engineering kind of takes a back seat to the Spielbergian awe of the Dinosaurs, but its still there.

There's a scene in the beginning where Dr. Grant is explaining to a fat kid that this velocoraptor claw is his most prized possession, because its in almost perfect condition. He carries it around with him everywhere and his career highlight. Later in the move after Grant and the kids get chased by living dinosaurs, he takes out the claw and discards it onto the ground.

the greenpeace aspect of the movie is mocked by most anyways, everyone always likes Roland and his group more also as far as just dino scenes TLW is probably the best of the series

It was meant to be but failed spectacularly at it. TLW is amazing because it has based Roland Tembo in it, the best Dino scenes (tall grass, rex rampage in San Diego, compies being compies) and shows the best variety of fauna and environments in the whole franchise.

Ian Malcom and even his nigger daughter are okay. It’s really nick van Owen who is the worst character. He’s literally an eco terrorist who is responsible for the deaths of his own crew and tons of innocent InGen employees. Considering InGen eventually rebuilds JP as JW everything he did was for naught anyways.

It’s funny because for whatever reason Spielberg tried so hard to make the protagonist “the good guys” and make Roland and his team “the bad guys” going so far as to delete a scene where Roland stands up for a black waitress being harassed by creeps.


TLW deserves way more credit than people give it.

Honestly the JW movies aren’t bad. They just have a shitty cast/characters. Other than that the only real thing that pissed me off was having raptors at all. Like why would InGen ever make another velociraptor let alone be allowed to? It should have been a big no no. Just take out anything to do with the raptors and the movies would be a lot better.

It’s more of a subplot. JW is about indonrex ruining JW. FK is about saving dinos from nublar then from auction. Indo raptor is just there to keep things going after auction is broken up.
