Why'd they turn him from a brave hero into a joke? What was the point of having him be a badass and then have everyone make fun of him?

im just confused by his character, sometimes they treat him like a chad, sometimes he's a doofus?

He doesn't look like a chad so just make him an average doofus I guess.

He looks off. The haircut doesn't suit his square face.

They have to break based Steve down so they can build him back up.

He's got good hair, though.

He peaked at 16.

With the first season, I got the impression that he was meant to go through certain development, from being a cool jock prick to learning to appreciate other things more and being less worried about maintaining his cool image.

But then in the third season I guess they decided he shouldn't just be less cool, he should be an awkward clown. That was jarring, the guy should have plenty of social skills.

Right? He goes from being admired and a Chad to a goofy fuck. I mean, that'd be fine but everyone talks to him like a clown. That little nigger kid busts his balls over losing a fight but moments prior he was fighting hell hounds with a baseball bat. The writers are retarded.

He's out of high school, past his prime, and out of his element. That's the point.
