why, when you're in outer space, with nearly limitless amount of space in orbit around a planet, would you park all of your capital ships within a few hundred meters of each other? Why even have them in orbit at all actually? they're clearly not orbitally bombarding the planet, and there's no reason for them to be there except to deploy the marines.
