>Plasma ma'am, from the planet.
what's the correct response here?
Plasma ma'am, from the planet

break for high orbit
Don't worry, intel says it will be random and light.
“It’s clearly natural phenomena because there’s no way this race we know absolutely nothing about poses any kind of threat we should continue to proceed with our eyes closed”
based and redpilled
unabased and civilianpilled
set fleet to condition one
>Eh steer clear of it just to be sure.
>Bugs have shown they have the capabilities to fire projectiles, with great accuracy, at you
>Disregard the possibility that the plasma shooting from the planet isn't part of their planetary defense system
Take us into orbit, Mr. Malmsteen, we've seen enough.
"Hard to port, and remove your top, pilot."
Deploy the knife launchers
fuck it, take us through you dumbass Chad.
the chances of a plasma bolt hitting us from the surface are a million to one you dumbass jock how you ended up in fleet and not with the jarhead cannon fodder in the hold is beyond me.
Heard it in his voice and the PA siren as well
most annoying part of the movie. know its supposed to be some sort of comment on bureaucracy in a fascist government but fuck.
just fly around the menacing balls of fire the bugs are shooting at you
What's a Plasma Ma'am?
>on bureaucracy in a fascist government
reddit-leddit-media please fuck off
it was never supposed to be parody on fascism, you numale shit
thats what I said retard wtf
>>Bugs have shown they have the capabilities to fire projectiles, with great accuracy, at you
The bug meteor was an inside job. The Sky Marshals knew that with citizenship tied to service, the Mobile Infantry was growing too large and too bored with no wars to fight. It was only a matter of time before they staged a coup.
The bugs were never a threat except on their own soil, where the body count could thin the ranks and present a neverending war. Had the bugs been a real threat we would have destroyed their planets from thousands of miles away.
>flying ships in space close to each other
I hate the idea normies have of space
why, when you're in outer space, with nearly limitless amount of space in orbit around a planet, would you park all of your capital ships within a few hundred meters of each other? Why even have them in orbit at all actually? they're clearly not orbitally bombarding the planet, and there's no reason for them to be there except to deploy the marines.
>Dozen or so giant ships in orbit over planet
>Stay in close formation for some reason
>Plasma turns out not to be just random light
>Cause more damage by having giant spaceships crash into each bbn other cause they are flying like they are blue Angels in space
Because that’s how most people imagina space thanks to Star Wars
But weren't they offering covering fire for the Marines too?
only series that have ever really done "realistic" space motion has been battlestar galactica and the expanse, most other series treats outer space like it's an atmosphere.
Because the Initial wave was loaded with Federation troublemakers and captains who didn't agree with the current leadership. Thin the herd, and after the heavy losses it would be suicide to oppose the bug war afterwards.
Spread the fuck out then, you fuck! There's a shitton of space in space.
>The bug meteor was an inside job.
We literally saw it coming in. The Rodger Young was at the Jupiter picket when it got whacked by the rock coming out of foldspace or whatever.
>The Rodger Young
Wasn't supposed to be there. Remember when Ibanez was telling Barcalow she changed their course to be more efficient?
>go to high orbit
>bombard for a few weeks/months
>weaken the planet for awhile
>launch marines from high orbit
>occupy destroyed planet
>bugs tunnel underground and hibernate till bombardment stops.
>Overwhelm marines a month after they set up firebases and let guard down.
Fucking based
bunker busters
is traitor of mars any good?
How did the bugs even know there was anything in high or even low orbit? They don't have any fucking tools or technology, they're just animals. Also what did they eat, their planet is literally barren rock.
radar bugs bro
FRANKLY I FIND THE IDEA OF A BUG THAT THINKS OFFENSIVE
>humans are interplanetary species
>have massive space fleets
>send in infantry without armor and air support
I know its satire but that's bullshit.
yeah haha imagine staging a large scale infantry invasion despite being mechanized lol
20 years later and I still read it in his voice and heard that weird russian music in the background.
You're dumb. The bug planets weren't France. They were literal shithole worlds a galaxy away. There was 0 strategic reason to put boots on the ground.
haha yeah totally lol imagine sending off tons of soldiers to die in a fight that has zero strategic value lol for political reasons haha and then overconfidence and bad intel leads to losses and a defeat haha there's certainly no precedent for that!!
You know you have to be 18 to post here, right?
t. utterly blown the fuck out
Buenos Aires was a false flag attack. Change my mind.
>russian
