Dogs and cats don’t mix bro
Dogs and cats have different pros and cons. As do Japanese and Korean movies.
AKA movies you can fap to. Inside Men is about government exposing government corruption and has a lot of scenes with topless Korean prostitutes performing sexual favors. Good movie.
what did i sign up for

Do you have ADHD?
NEWFAG PLS GO BACK 2 REDDIT
Make sure you're watching the extended version. Korea makes a surprising amount of really good movies and tv.
Shit I recommend to people to get them into Korean kino:
Movies - The Handmaiden, Oldboy and Parasite
TV - My Mister, Mister Sunshine and Signal
Anyone here seen Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring again?
Pretty sure I'm watching the normal version. I did a shallow dive into what was more recommended, found more people clamoring for this one. I'm really digging it so far, I'll probably get the extended one and watch that this week, too.
yes, it takes me 3 days to finish a movie, end my misery plz
Jesus christ, I just got 40 minutes in when they're just starting to fool around and it's incredibly hot.
Do we have korean generals in this board? I love some of their tv shows. The fact that lots of dramas and comedies are 20 episodes of single season are a blessing to me.
I liked Stranger (2016 I think)
>the bells
>being this new
You should lurk for at least 6 months before making your first post.
I fucking love that movie. Also
>memories of murder
>the chaser
i'm gonna watch this tonight too. saw shoplifters yesterday and it was nice
Any good newer horror movie from Japan or Korea?
All K-dramas are teen girl shit, recommend me some serious adult theme ones, no girly drama bullshit.

Mr. Sunshine
My Mister
>not wanting to pretend you're a teen girl
faget
i'd rather pretend i was fukin one instead
That's illegal.
>marathon
>one movie
illiterate donkey
>Make sure you're watching the extended version
The theatrical version is the director's cut. The extended version exists to make more money because the movie has an obsessive fanbase in Korea.
>What extended edition?
>PARK: In Korea, there are some fans who are very hardcore loyal fans around this film,The Handmaiden, this fandom has been created. This fandom has been strongly demanding that there needs to be an extended edition, anything that you have cut out, anything that you have left on the cutting room floor, we need to see. The investors they saw how well the film did at the box office and they agreed to have a extended version, and now there is one with 23 minutes of extra footage. Now, in Korea it had been available as a IPTV, pay-per-view TV in Korea as well, because there has been a phenomenal reaction to the film and the extended version that they have decided to have a limited release in a few numbers of screens in Korea even.

First day on Yea Forums?
This is where banning porn gets you as a nation.
You did watch Obayashi's magnum opus, right Yea Forums? Hausu ain't got nothing on this.
The best movie of the decade? That's a reasonably fair trade off, to be honest
>"Korea makes a surprising amount of really good movies and tv"
>everybody names the same handful of Korean movies
>The best movie of the decade?
this is why im watching the regular version. extended apparently didnt add much of what Park wanted, so fuck it. also i dont believe it has more sex in it, so another strike.
i really like the turn this story took at the end of the first act.
I really can't stress enough the holy trinity that is:
My Mister
Mister Sunshine
Signal
I've seen both and I think the extended version is better in terms of pacing. The reveal of the true nature of Sook‑Hee makes more sense in the extended. Rather than being a sudden "hey she's a thief" in the regular version, the extended version is more drawn out to make you think that she might just be a poor kid working for a rich house.
Stop looking at Yea Forums and watch the fucking movie.
just trying to keep this thread in the air until im done. really loving where second act is going. this movie is really good.
Never knew this existed, wtf?
I suppose when you recommend stuff, you recommend the ones that are universally liked.
I've got other recommendations for movies but they won't be as universally praised as the same handful of movies recommended in this thread:
- Memories of Murders
- 1987: When the Day Comes
- Lady Vengence
- A taxi driver
Do they have any horror shows or something that isn't sub-CW fangirl bait?
Stranger is a good murder mystery/political drama
My Mister is others have suggested
Laughter in Waikiki for comedy
Fiery Priest or Special Inspector Jo are fun to watch

I don't care about gooks and subhumans, any one has recommendations for Japanese kino? The honorary whites.
Liverleaf was awesome.
hanabi was good i watched that yesterday
I have my mister in my watchlist just because of IU, will see it soon
this movie was shit, i've seen better asian movies.
Stranger (also called Secret Forest) is not for girls. I'm watching the series "Live" right now.
Fiery Priest is stupid and funny.
Whew boys, I gotta say, this one really did it for me. I thought it was going to be a fun caper with some humor sprinkled throughout and some gorgeous lesbo action but it transcended all of that. Chan-wook knocked it out of the...PARK.
>retards actually fell for this b8
The Age of Shadows is great if you want more Japanese Occupied Korea content.
Took the whole movie but I get this reference. Now I've gotta furiously look up these two chicks and see what else they've been in.
how often is a movie sexy and this good
Kim Tae-Ri is my waifu
fuck
I highly rate this movie "Why Don't You Play in Hell"
That yakuza old dude at the center of the top photograph also played a yakuza in naked director
is that his thing
looks like August is going to be Zip-Nip Month for me, i can't wait. these asian threads already got me learning their gobbletyGOOK language.
Not moviie but i watched mr. sunshine. its charming, if a bit cheese as korean dramas tend to be. espacily nice for me since im a history guy.
I don't mind the Korean flavor of cheese. Post-divorce I get legitimately moved now if an emotional scene is done effectively, so I look forward to digging into some of these recommendations.
where do you find all these movies? no hits for most of em.
Autism kino
found my new favorite asian actress. goddamn was she cute in this movie.
A Single Rider is pretty good
I really liked this one.
Noroi
Ring
Grudge
Dark Water
Creepy
Before We Vanish
Hausu
Gakkou no Kwaidan
Onibaba
Audition
Tetsuo Iron Man
Ichi the Killer
Pulse
Cure
Battle Royale
im having a hard time finding most of the movies recommended here. probably means i need to find a new avenue.
convince me this movie isn't just zombie schlock
its really hyped and i'm scared
most of those are incredibly popular horror movies. I would be surprised if you couldn't find all of them on piratebay or 1337x.
so you haven't seen it? it does so many things right:
>zombies which are actually a force to be reckoned with (i.e. running)
>great, likeable side characters
>a strong core with a father-daughter story
>a hateable fuckhead human antagonist
>lots of great "we have to get from A to B but we're fucked because zombies" scenes
>tension and mayhem
>sense of "it's all fucked" pervading everything
go in just expecting to watch a zombie movie and you'll be surprised at how good it is. don't listen to the hype. what the fuck do we know? (but yeah, it's pretty damn good)
i dont torrent, i use the age old method which shall not be named, but i think they merc'd a lot of the servers tied to the service i'm using.
