I rewatched it after seeing it years ago and it really doesn't hold up. The story is just too farfetched and the ending shootout is way over the top with how much shooting there is and completely unrealistic. Expecting a major criminal to go to prison just to make some random useless peasant feel better about his life is ridiculous.
