Has the late 2000s-early 2010s nostalgia revival already begun? Will there be gritty reboots of Minecraft and Gangnam Style?

Nah, early/mid 2000s Nostalgia hasn't even started yet.

It already happened on the internet back in 2015-2018

Most of the things in that picture like Angry Birds and Minecraft are still a thing.

I could see a Hannah Montana return once Mile's edgy slut thing has gotten stale.

Nope.

>there are people in existence who experience "nostalgia" for Gangnam Style
How sad.

No. The 90's are next. We move in 30 year cycles.

Better than current year

I was told years ago it was a 20 year cycle, now it's 30?

Not saying current year pop "culture" is any better but the early 2000's "culture" was and still is absolute trash.

Whoever told you that were a brainlet.
Remember all that 50's nostalgia in 80's movie? The 50's weren't 20 years ago back then, but 30.

Gangnam style was LATE 2000s zoomer

BASED ZOOMERS

I remember when people in 2012 were like "Why the hell are Facebook and Buzzfeed so obsessed with 90s nostalgia?" and the responses were "It's a 20 year nostalgia cycle, like That 70s Show in the 90s."

But now all of a sudden the cycle changed to 30 years.

I classify anything from 2000-2010 as "early 2000s". we're not done with this century/millenium yet, you projection-artist-zoomie. Also I didnt pay attention to pop culture back when Gangnam style came out because I was already out of HS and had a Gf and a job and a life.

>That 70s Show in the 90s
>1998-2006

I'd say it isn't a very 90's thing.

The best example of the 30 years cycle is IT. The book happens 1957 but it was released in 1986, and the movie was released in the 2017. Literally 30 years cycles.

Anything from 2000 to 2008, I consider "2000s". After that things began to change.

Early 2000s is basically the late 90s with stricter airport security and more exploding Muslims.

Late 2000s were pretty boring are is basically the early 10s with less technology. Rebecca Black and Gangham Style documentaries would be pretty kino though.

The late 10's are pure cancer and has no culture outside of *insert Netflix show/Marvel movie here* and ruining the lives of people you disagree with on the Internet and getting them fired.

It already got stale after 6 months. Now she makes generic ballads.

>it's double xp weekend and you got nothing but time
tfw you get 2 xp for a win on Halo 3 because it's Bungie's birthday or something

Nah, early/mid 2000s had that Militarization Thing going. You had tv shows becoming "high class" with Sopranos (yeah yeah, it started a year earlier, whatever). You had the internet exploding and cell phones being everywhere. It was a different enough time to the 90s. 9/11 changed things until 2008 rolled around.

This happened in endgame already? With the, "jumping back in time to the old movies," for "nostalgia."

Yes kids already nostalgia on Halo and Call of Duty.

Nostalgia is for plebs now. We are just making zoomers nostalgic for OUR childhoods at this point. I don't even think being nostalgic for Marvel movies counts, also people are rehashing every year. You just look up the video on youtube on the thing you miss and go on with your life.

The cycles are different in cinema/tv vs. on social media, for obvious reasons.
