The ps3 was very difficult to develop for. This was intentional, as it forced developers to spend more time and resources developing for the ps3 and forcing game exclusivity in the process. But this obviously backfired, and over time during the mid-console cycle, more and more developers-after years of experience began pushing the boundaries of what was thought possible for the console.
Was the ps3's power fully realized by the end of its cycle or was there still room to push it's graphical power to the max?
The new gran turismo is just a clusterfuck. It almost makes me want to buy an xbox for forza.
And supposedly the next gen playstation is goinf to xbox style controllers. Which is the only reason I have bought playstation for 20 years. I love their controllers and think xbox controllers are shit.
it's too small you must have small jap hands I liked the og fat xbox controller perfect fit

Saddam used PS2s to control rockets, it doesn't get more based than that

My hands are actually pretty big. Im 6'1" and have size 12 feet. I wear large gloves. The ps controller is just ergonomically better. The xbox controller is fucking huge but has zero weight to it. It's like holding an ice cube tray.
Wrong board but the full power was realized a few years before its end. The “hidden power of the cell cpu” wasn’t that big of a gain, and it just was a hilariously stupid decision to use a cpu meant for medical applications joined together with a weak GPU. The moment devs figured out how to offload GPU functions to the SPU’s, it’s full power was realized. That was “the hidden power”.

It was a disaster so but they are still doing damage control to this day. Who THE FUCK thought it was a good idea to have an E3 conference with a new console and don’t show ANY games?
Lucas Williams
We never see Red Dead Redemption 1 on PC because of that

PS3 is easily the worst console Sony made

Wrong, both GTA4 and RDR1 had strong performance issues on the PS3, and were better played off in the X360.
The reason to why you don't see RDR1 on PC is because it used the same engine as GTA4, and it is FUCKING AWFUL. GTA4 is notoriously known for being one of the worst PC ports, and they obviously thought their street cred wouldn't benefit by launching yet another poorly ported game. Hell, GTA4 is so heavy, that a low budget PC can run 5 flawlessly but it can't run 4 without dropping the spagheti.
