But the movie is like the book, only set in modern times. And I mean EXACTLY like the book, this isn't like The Sinning when Kubrick did his own thing. How can you keep things from your actors when you are copying the book scene for scene?
The movie is great, but this isn't a Kubrick movie. It's a great adaptation, but nothing about it is from Kubrick's own mind.
