>all women are whores
Thank you David, very insightful.
Also who was that white faced man?
Lost Highway
He was supposed to be a supernatural creature like Bob from TP.
What'd you give that flick out of 10, OP?
9. My favourite Lynch along with TP season 3 but i haven't seen everything from him. I also rewatched this one. It's better on rewatch. When i saw it the first time, i gave it 7.
Masterpiece
fuck i love the opening credits
few months ago they screened some kind of original film version of this in Brussels where i live
showed up at a dark warm comfy evening at around 21:00 alone, went to sit down and besides me there was one couple behind me watching.
I always revisit the opening credits in my head and the music, but i can never bring myself to rewatch this, because i know watching this from a TV screen won't beat that experience i got to see it in the cinema
Was it projected on film?
Why is this movie so rewatchable? I've seen it about 10 times with different people and it's always fresh
yes
overrated trash
Why?
Incredible soundtrack
Because it sucks.
>Call me
Why?
Red pill me on this
Lynch's movies are great. Lynch's fans are turbo reddit.
is this the sister of the youtube guy who tries to "scare her" all the time?
top 10 of all time probably, every track is great
The essential message is don't trust women and all women are whores.
Lynch realised he could do almost anything and people would pretend to like and understand it.
His worst movie. Too fucking long.
The cringe Rammstein shit ruins the movie.
I bet you think the man behind winkie's is some interdimensional spooky hobo too
Lynch confirmed Lost Highway takes place in the same universe as Twin Peaks, and he gave in-universe proof by using the same visual effect for the switch in Twin Peaks 2017.
White faced man is the presence of evil/temptation
Lost highway is actually lynch's best in my opinion. Lynch is addicted to this formula of characters coping with trauma by imaging themselves as someone else but its pulled off the best in lost highwah
YOU ARE THE PERFECT DRUG
>THE PERFECT DRUG

YOU ARE THE PERFECT DRUG

>THE PERFECT DRUG
I just watched Blue Velvet last night and loved it. Now I have watched all of the Lynch kino: Twin Peaks, Mulholland Drive, Lost Highway, The Elephant Man, and Eraserhead.
Pretty much my thoughts too. Unlike Mulholland Drive, Lost Highway makes the protagonist fully aware and responsible for the shit he has done and spares no guilty in exploring his demented actions fuelled by his slut wife. I really like how dark it is because unlike Mulholland Drive Lynch isn't really seeking any compassion/understanding for the protagonist but rather expressing it as raw as he can.
the music was the worst bit about the film (excluding I'm Deranged) really dates the film and hinders the overall mood of the film.
So you're turbo reddit?
>he hasn't seen the straight story
>he hasn't seen wild at heart
>he hasn't seen inland empire
big yikes
What the fuck was inland empire all about?
>I'm in your thread right now
But honestly, I don't enjoy thinking about Lynch's films too much, instead I just consume them at face value. The fact that there is some artistic merit without having to interpret them says enough

What are you, a five year old?
Not all of his films can be considered kino. If you think this, then you are delusional. many of those are film documentaries too.
I know, I didn't include Dune
BASED RICHARD PRYOR CAMEO
Is it true he's the one that convinced Lynch God was gay? Never heard anyone confirm that.
That was a mistranslated Japanese interview, he meant they came from the same place in his mind, born from the same emotional state.
What do you mean, in Mulholland Drive, most the movie is that bitter lesbo's fantasy of the life she wanted, and then she kills herself out of guilt.
God knows. I love Lynch but couldn't stand Inland Empire. Fucking 3 hour horse shit film
It’s about a guy who is unhappy with his life and his cheating wife and the false reality his mind creates to cope with his decisions. Think Fight Club but with Lynch directing
I always think of them as oppisites in a way, but i'm kind of dumb anyway
I thought it was good, added to the atmosphere.
this guy gets it
Bump
The real one, thanks for the master list I've already watched all his main releases.
no problem
ain't it the truth?
