Why are they SO FUCKING BAD at hiring competent writers and actors? >spend 100 million on tv show >utter trash >do this 20 more times a year
holy fuck, where do they get these actors? I could do a better job and I only did theater for 4 years in high school, jesus christ its TERRIBLE, how does Netflix afford to make shit show after shit show?
I wanna watch it because Netflix sells it as a "kung-fu show"
how is the kung-fu? Is it like Iron Fist or is it actually good?
Jose Evans
fight scenes are the only good part of the show, a good level below raid and ip man though, the writing is atrocious and the acting is even worth, I was really really shocked at how bad the acting was, writing was once again high school tier level, I don't know how Netflix finds such bad actors and writers
Jordan Young
If the kung-fu is good then I might suffer through horrible writing (shitty acting is expected from the genre desu).
how are they split? at least one fight per episode?
Christian Smith
they're terrible, they're shot really poorly and half the time you can't see anything because of bad lighting or shit-tier CGI covering the screen. kung fuists aren't renowned for their acting abilities, but usually when you have something starring martial artists you don't have 50 minutes of a boring, capeshit-tier plot between every fight scene
Christian Turner
What's with the random kpop on the first episode? It was so awkward.
Gabriel Morgan
everything has to be trendy and hip, same reason why generic hip hop is shoe horned into every show
Evan Bell
Daredevil, luke cage, iron fist are all much better than Wu. Maybe they just hate Asians or something.
That's probably it, some old fart who doesn't respect asian culture was told to make a kung fu property. Cue water dragons and people in slave soldier armor pretending to be assassins
Uncle Six is great. He's a nothing actor that nobody cares about but wherever I see him he steals the show. I remember that godawful movie RZA made a few years back and he was in that too, genuinly only good part. Anyway, someone mentioned Warrior earlier and I look at Joe Taslim and how well they hid his limited acting ability and poor english, that's what you need to do with Iko too, he's a great martial artist but very poor actor that can't speak English well.
Robert Hill
Not even.
Mason Turner
supposedly the Wu Assassin can turn into any of the 1000 monks who gave him the power, though he only turns into Mark Dacascos in the show.
It's very kitschy and it has dumb superpowers cgi. It sounded good on paper but then the trailer came out and it looked disappointing and then the show came out and... you'll see. It's worth a watch if you like martial arts movies though.
>goes to hang out with her friends an hour later, no questions asked about the bruising >no injury from such a vicious beating other than bruising, not even stitches Based tough woman
