How would the simpsons end?

Everyone starts dying in the end (when actors retire or die irl) and the only ones that keep alive in the end are Old Man Sneed, Chuck and Sneed and Sneed's mother (shown in S11E21);

With Marge finally divorcing the dumb ass that is Homer. She gets the kids obviously with the fact that Homer is notorious for strangling his own son in anger.
Homer after drinking heavily will, in a fit of rage, despair and hopelessness, kill Marge and their children before offing himself.

My concept for a final Simpsons episode would be sort of a downer. Santa's Little Helper is getting sick and not getting better. The family has to make the debate whether or not to put him to sleep.

The allegory would be clear that the dog is the Simpsons itself (and remember that the series started with them finding the dog at the racetrack). They say that the dog has been very tired and hasn't been lively for years. They talk about how expensive it would be to keep the dog alive while it's doing nothing but getting more sick. They talk about how it's better to savor the great moments they had with the "dog" and how "the dog" had a great run and will always be remembered. The dog has changed the family forever and will be a part of them.

They finally agree to take the dog to the vet for euthanizing. The dog is placed on the table. From there you see from the dog's point of view. The dog looks at the Simpsons who are behind a glass window watching giving a tearful goodbye. Vision starts to blur. The dog closes his eyes briefly. Opens them up and behind the window are simpsonized caricatures of many of the voices and creators waving bye with the Simpsons. Then fade to black.

Plenty of fitting ways to end it, we all know it'd just be cancelled out of the blue. They'll do a typical episode and at the very end they'll break the fourth wall and say goodbye while most of Springfield is gathered in the background.

The episode would start off like a Simpsons episode normally would until halfway through.
>A real life overweight bald man named Grover jolts awake in a cold sweat.
>he looks at the the other side of his bed for his "Marge".
>He sees its empty. He jumps up and starts raiding each room looking for his 3 kids only to be yelled at by his Mother.

Honestly pretty good idea. I think it would need some form of humour sprinkled throughout to keep it from getting too depressing, but I’d keep the overall format you’ve got

Explain that the Simpsons take place in a series of alternate universes which explains all the continuity errors which allows us to organize the series by which universe is best.

This is because nobody can agree on when the series actually turned to shit, so if we were able to organize the series by universes then we'd have a more concrete way of judging when exactly the show turned to shit.

They can't end the show like this because they've already done it so many times.

people who can't raise their kids aren't doing it out of irony, they're doing it because they're dumb, poor, and horny, and they're dumb and poor because their parents were also dumb, poor, and horny.

They'd probably end it the same way the Seinfeld did.

Normal people love Sneed. If I were to go to a Simpsons thread and there was not Sneed, I would say 'Yo Gobber, where is the Sneed?'

I remember thinking it was kind of funny when it aired but also feeling like something was off

Looking back, the show turns to shit in season 8. There are still some good moments, but they become few and far between, until the show gets awful in season 11, and never looks back
