How could you like Furio being wasted on that awful plot with Carm, then being written out suddenly? And there was all those sitdowns where people were walking out left and right and Tony trying to fuck over New York with his not paying any tribute for his real estate scams. There was also the bitter taste of Carm soaking Tony for money and living trusts, while being in love with Furio.

Yes, Livia was supposed to die at the end of S1, but Nancy wanted to keep working, despite her terminal diagnosis, so they kept her on. Of course, she was more of a background character once they got her out of hospital, with Janice basically being 'the Livia' for S2, pushing Richie to kill her own brother.

In S3 there was supposed to be a 'will she or won't she' about Livia testifying against Tony for the stolen airline tickets. But, as Nancy had died, Chase had to restructure the season and so we got to know Little Lord Fuckpants instead. Still, the casting of Joey Pants helped save the season.

I think the least best seasons were 4 (Carmela/Furio) and 6A (fag plot and filler).

I liked how Vito came through as a character since S2, from the background to being pretty important. I just didn't like how they dragged out the fag plot. At the time, the Cleaver subplot also felt tacked on and cheap, given Tony's ultimatum to Chrissy in S2 to forget about movies and become a soldier in the family. Plus, they turn him into a family man in the space of a few scenes, after all those years with Ade and then giving her up.

Of course, we didn't know that Cleaver would pay off in spades in S6B, as Chrissy's 'hate letter' to Tony, which meant it was a lot easier for Tony to kill him.

She alternated between being disgusted and enchanted by him. Tony throws the towel in at the end of S4, then he wants her as a GF in S5, which is rebuffed. This basically resolved most of the sexual tension by then. By the end of the show, they've both had enough.

Sure, they started to move away from the therapy scenes a little, but there were necessary to flesh out what was going on in Tony's head. They only had a voice-over in half of the pilot; perhaps that would have gotten grating had they kept that for the whole show.
