normies just like the spectacle, they operate on zero critical thinking when they watch shows.

even the obviously dumb shit like not giving the giant any kind of weapon got a pass

the man was literally brought back to life by the gods. his plot armor makes sense in universe

Better writing would have justified the miss. E.g. Ramsay would been like "wtf, how can you ALL miss?" leaving the implication that they missed on purpose, after all the original plan for the Battle of the Bastard was that instead of Litter FInger saving everybody, the Karlstarka and the Umbers would have turned on Ramsay mid-battle.
They could have killed him and resurrected him, it's all the same.

Isn’t it more likely that they would miss than hit?

>not knowing he was being protected by the Lord of Light
lmao

If he was so afraid of arrows, why didn't he just wear armour?

Why was he brought back to life?

Don't forget when he swings his sword and knocks the CG guy off the CG horse without the slightest physical impact because you're literally watching an Avengers style green screen cartoon.

ITT: virgin complaints

S6 sucks so much

to make him be able to leave the wall without him breaking his oath because "muh stark honor"

why was he even a targaryen? it was pointless in the end

only if there was only like two archers and he wasn't fucking surrounded by missed arrows
came here to post this

i dun wont et

Was he even necessary after dying though. Felt like he was destined for something great after being resurrected, but he was still just a guy.

the ending to GOT should’ve been audio of mel gibson ranting about jewish nepotism in hollywood, while the credits roll in the background.

>jon surviving
>ramsay somehow ignoring/not noticing LFs march
>ramsay using retarded tactics like blocking the enemy's escape (he had enough cavalry to hunt down the routed enemy)
>jon's side somehow having so much cavalry (the north has no horse breeders)
>jon's army not making any armor/weapons for their giant
>jon running like a retard towards winterfell when the battle was won
>jon blocking the arrows on the last second for no apparent reason

any other retardation?

Ramsay whole cavalry dying

If that giant was using an armor he would be unstoppable

He literally killed the Queen Bitch Tyrant successor who usurped the previous Queen Bitch Tyrant and broke the cycle of the Game of Thrones

This.
>muh, let's have them charge cavalry each other so that both cavalries are wiped out
This isn't how cavalries work.

Did he even tell Dany he was resurrected? In S7 he acted like it was a big secret, but by Season 8 everybody was talking about it like it was common knowledge.

It should've been Stannis vs Roose.

Ramsey choosing the most sadistic tactic that forces the combat to continue does make sense, but everything else is inexcusable.
How the fuck does Rickon get killed by one arrow by apparent expert marksmen Bolton and why didn't he think to swerve?

More like the battle of the little boy holes

To become the new messiah but Martin and Dumb and Dumber want to subvert expectations so he became just a dude that got brought back

Agreed, cav can't be used like a solid mass like that, horses can be trained to charge lines but are highly reluctant to simply run at another horse of equal mass. It's why cavalry is so often used on the flanks and shock cavalry is such an expensive investment for particular situational moments.

Medieval english archers, unlike their horse nomad contemporaries were trained to shoot specific distances. Hunters would be goog target shooters but your standard bowman would be good at shooting 50,100, 200 etc yards but not so much at hitting a specific individual

They are not even most sadistic tactics. It would have been in character to do a night attack like this:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Night_Attack_at_Târgoviște

How come noone thought to bring Ramsey to justice after killing his father, sure he can intimidate some fatty in the same room with him but everyone else in and owed vassalage to the Dreadfort wouldn't take orders from a blatant bastard kinslayer.

Best he could do considering he agreed to a pitched battle because muh pride and plot. Also fuck that's some brutal shit.

Anyone could have killed her. There was no reason it had to be Jon.

Rhllor could've just sent an assassin seasons ago, or you know not given her dragons
>the game of thrones is over cause they vote kings now cauae dwarf said so

especially since the cav in the battle is light cavalry which is exclusive to used to flank and pursues routers because can't even break infantry formations. If the other side hadn't been stupid enough to counter that charge with counter-charge, they would have been wiped out.

So did Aymer de Valence, but that didn't stop him from attacking during the night before the planned day.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Methven

>duh tru norf only has to square formation with some spears to repel absolutely fuck retarded charge from unarmored wankers on nags
>yeah nah countercharge with our nags
It hurts lad.
Hollywood goddamn tactic everytime

It's such a horrible show bros

Dany finds out in S7E6. After Jon comes back to the Wall from the wight hunt, he is taken into a bedroom on a Targaryen ship. Dany visits him and sees the stab wounds from S5E10 on his stomach/ chest.

>normalfags think only the ending is bad
>normalfags will excuse or forget how fucking retarded it's been since season 3

How come we never got scenes of alys karstark or Ned umber crying about the deaths of their parents to Jon or Sansa?

Attached: 11018298-3x2-940x627.jpg (940x627, 27K)

In fairness the last season is somehow worse than the rest

>jon snow is about to get killed again
>dany shows up to save him

Attached: 1564359596889.jpg (300x550, 90K)

He didn't even offer her a hug even though he still loved her. What the fuck.

Is that before or after resurrection?

Attached: 1562692933052.gif (464x292, 3.9M)

And even the spectacle on Season 8 was trash

Attached: 1559597261894.jpg (1326x1536, 543K)

This is clearly abusive behavior on Dany's part, she should've let Jon die instead of guilt tripping him by losing a dragon saving his life

They will make up

I think Arya must've died like 10 times at KL alone

Arya should have been killed when she jumped at the Night King

>Jon cares about Viserion
>doesn’t give a shit about Rhaegal
>forgot he loved at Dany at the worst time only to remember again right before THAT happened

He should've stayed ded.

To bring down the Wall and murder his aunt.

Was he the worst commander in the entire series?

nothing was worse than this shit. i didn't know what they were expecting, for me to feel bad for cersei? she literally invited war into her city with a smug grin like half an hour ago.

The lengths they went to keep that dumb bitch around... She didn't even do any but sip wine and smirk in the last season.

Westeros would've been better off had Ramsay won.

did someone say Alys?

Attached: 1558216629433.jpg (798x1200, 157K)

No, the series has consistently dehumanized the commonfolk until it comes to dany killing them in e5, then afterwards they're irrelevant again

COME WITH ME AND TAKE TH- aw fuck it.

What even happened to her

Unironically yes, his expedition beyond the wall ultimately served no purpose and cost them a dragon and by extension countless thousands of lives

>Tyrion's lines

As based as he was, fuck he was a cunt

Everything from S5 onwards is straight capeshit

>I don’t want to eat
>I miss Jon
>Varys probably tried to poison me again
>What’s taking Jon so long

has anyone noticed how this show's evaporated from existence since it ended? it's like everyone shrugged and everyone went on with their lives, aside from the occasional conversation that always devolves into how shit the last season was.

Look at that. I love her bros

The last Fast & Furious movie criticized the ending. I reject your narrative.

Most tv shows are like that, how many people still talk about Breaking Bad outside the odd meme about "I am the one who knocks" or whatever

I mean, the ending was pretty garbage and in this age, people move on to the next hot thing pretty fast. GOT is just a bad meme at this point, when people remember it years from now.

Attached: A8B1440B-DF55-4E0B-B1E2-1AE9537F6C30.jpg (1536x1276, 950K)

I reject your hypothesis.

Attached: tarantino-GettyImages-3-750x500.jpg (750x500, 47K)

what to discuss
it's ended terribly and nothing can change it
no more hype
75% of normalfags' interest was hype like with everything
what to discuss

We're 6 years out from Breaking Bad, though - plus, that show, while big, wasn't an absolute blockbuster the way GoT became.

On the other hand, people were (and still kind of are) talking about The Sopranos ending for years.

That's because most people are satisfied with the ending

>Ramsay knows the north better than anyone
>an entire fucking deus ex army sneaks up on him and defeats him after Jon Snow did everything possible to try to lose

Fucking epic!

Has it ever occurred to you people that (((they))) knew GRRM's ending was shit and did us a favor?

Attached: news-0218-dananddavid-got-900x600.jpg (900x600, 79K)

so much this
show took an very visible and obvious quality dive in season 5, yet those dumb seething niggers on reddit ate it up all the same and only complain about season 8

The last season is virulently hated by a noticeable portion of the audience. By "most people," you mean the casual audience--people who don't even remember the names of recurring characters.

Something happened before the season that they knew they were gonna have to go hide. I thought they were joking. Either they knew it was shit or they purposefully didn’t try, or a combination of both. If they thought it was gonna be good, they wouldn’t have done that ahead of time.

Yeah, I appreciate them, they refused to do justice to that atrocity of an ending, they're taking the heat now from all the deluded fans but eventually the fans will turn on George, because the problem isn't how they got there it's the ending itself. It's pretty honorable that they're taking all the flack in silence to be honest, hopefully they're gonna unleash it all on george soon

>gets resurrected
>proceeds to do literally nothing of his own volition

WHY THE FUCK WAS HE EVEN RESURRECTED?

Also, why didn't Sansa tell Jon about Little Finger. Reddit loves to defend her decision to not to tell him because SHE COULDN'T BE CERTAIN. Great reasoning, works well in the army, don't tell your officer anything that you aren't 100% sure that they can make the decision to look into it.

I started reading the books and the show became objective garbage after season 4
this show has been literal trash for half of it's fucking lifetime

Attached: 1560372671327.jpg (350x376, 11K)

I meant breaking bad not got

It's obvious that GoT's ending was how GRRM wanted the series to end (with a few "artistic" changes), and fat fuck's furiously backpedaling because he realises the audience hates it.

>"Not to worry, I've given D&D an outline of how the series REALLY ends if I do die of a massive stroke at 65!"
>"Haha mayhaps that mummer's farce of an ending was how THEY saw it ending, but my vision is entirely different! Guess you'll just have to wait for me to finish the last two books before you find out..."

Attached: dx1es1.jpg (355x439, 16K)

but that's the main meme user, this WAS George's ending

>I don't want Jon to fall into Ramsay's trap.
>Therefore, I will ensure he falls into Ramsay's trap by not telling him about the massive army that could be coming to help.
Goddamn, Sansa won the Game of Thrones! She was so smart in the last few seasons, with her nonsensical scheming and lying.

>please read through thousands of pages of filler to see Jon turn into Scott Peterson.
I'm good.

Attached: 1563970485673.jpg (330x330, 41K)

to further subvert your expectations when he ends up being completely irrelevant.
unironically though

>completely irrelevant
No, he pretty much made Westeros a worse place and caused the deaths of over a million people indirectly.

>His name is Aegon....Aegon Targaryen. It’s a big deal, Eddard.

Attached: 09A34439-5257-4231-8D37-DE0B0EF731B4.jpg (803x400, 56K)

his very existence caused that, no decision or action from the character

Why don’t armies just spam at one another before charging?

arrows don't actually penetrate fucking plate armor, it's only a meme that exists in movies/shows

No, he made decisions. He chose to go with Tyrion's retarded plans. He chose to go on the wight hunt. He chose not to get on Drogon. He chose to start courting Dany. He chose to say she made him bend the knee. He chose to tell his cunt cousins the truth. He chose to give Dany mixed messages and not tell her what he really felt. He chose to not console her and own up to his mistakes.

Jon made quite a lot of decisions in the last three seasons.

I fucking love Dany.

Attached: DaenerysTargaryen.jpg (760x607, 251K)

>turn boring character into best character
>sabotage her because GRRM says so
Why did they do it?

Attached: 1559930868691.png (1712x2776, 3.27M)

>mfw "break the wheel" was just Daario's way of referring to anal and she's trying to tell Jon she's a butt slut

Attached: 1550019320344.gif (177x150, 1.74M)

I'd honestly believe she would let him, based on how she was behaving.

He's a fookin manlet, try to hit that flea in the open field.

he was so short none of the arrows could hit him

He was poisoned by our enemies dude.

Westeros kind of forgot their culture.

What did he mean by this

nothing is black and white user,

In hindsight season 6 was really bad and a lot of us just overlooked it because we thought they were rushing to a satisfying conclusion. Then seasons 7 and 8 happened.

Divine intervention. At the time the writing dictated that the Lord of Light didn't bring him back for no reason, but it turned out that he did indeed bring Jon back for no reason. You're right OP, it's fucking stupid.

Attached: kinda retarded.jpg (1280x720, 66K)

based retard

But that expedition got them a wight which they used to convince the rest of Westeros of the perils of the Night King. They may have lost a dragon, but at least they got Jaime Lannister to join the Living Army against the White Walkers.

Wasn't she with Theon and was with the bodyguards of Bran? I think they all got killed.

You've been playing too much Mass Effect.

your post killed the thread

the general audience thought that the show was good until season 8
Yea Forums uses revionism to say that s1-s4 were great despite the fact s2-s4 were shat on Yea Forums all the time

it's all about the perspective really.

>cited source

Arya was stabbed 5 times, crawled through disease infested waters...and it just too 2 hours sleep to run a marathon the next day. This show was garbo, I literally left after battle of the bastards to never return. What I herd about the show later wasn't good either.

>someone actually wasted time numbering them

After watching the last season I unironically felt bad for people who bought previous seasons blurays/dvd.
You dont want anything to do with this show anymore after watching literal garbage on fire season 8.

At first look, it was kind of cool but i noticed a lot of strange things. Second time i watched it i got annoyed by how unrealistic this battle was.
>let the giant do almost nothing
>Jon has no tactics
>Nobody calls him out on being a complete idiot
>Wall of bodies? wtf was going on there

I bought the seasons 1-6 pack and season 7 blu ray. I have no desire to rewatch the show. Oops.

This desu
Show died with the old Kingsguard armor design

>critical thinking
>give the giant a weapon

the dubs has spoken, the effectiveness of archers at range was in volume not accuracy. It was good for thinning out the unskilled and just plain unlucky. besides when your enemy is busy ducking behind a shield avoiding a torrent of arrows it allows your troops to close the distance or move to a more advantageous postion.

Did you miss the fuckin rickon scene my man?

bro everything after season 5 was a long rickon scene

Jon Snow sucks
