Asian cinema out of japan and korea is great, but it's just that there have been very very good films made in recent years in korea especially.
I love taiwan cinema and have seen quite a few malasyian flicks

"I Saw the Devil" objectively sucks ass, and "Man From Nowhere" isn't that great either. "Good, The Bad, and the Weird" had lot better production value (same director as "I saw the Devil"), and director of Man from Nowhere doesn't have any other decent films
