>watch movie in native language
>movie becomes automatically worse because you have to hear the actors real voice
i feel sorry for anons whos country doesnt dub their movies
this also explains why movie sim games are so popular
Watch movie in native language
>movie sim games
?
don’t waste your time creating another thread you oxygen thief your point is invalid
how so?
Bait better faggot
did you never notice that characters in animation have a voice that fits the character far better?
retarded kraut
Nah, I love the sound of foreing languages user, it makes the movie make a lot more sense, hearing the tones and empotion of the original actors. Doesn't matter the language, Russian, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Hindi, Spanish, I think the original actors do abetter job than the dub actors 99% of the time.
is there anything more brainlet than a dub?
>hearing the tones and empotion of the original actors
a quality dub can replicate those, its just when you see someone in their 60s and expect them to sound like that but instead you hear a eeny weeny voice like someone just kicked him with full force in the balls
That weird shit they do in slav countries where they don't even remove the original sound and dub the different characters, they just add the voice of a guy explaining what's happening on top of it all. It always reminds me of when I was like six years old and would pester my older siblings until they'd explain what the English-talking characters were saying. It's really quite mind-boggling that there's several nations that imbibe foreign media by having a state-provided uncle explaining what's going on, just like when you were five and the family were all huddled up in front of the tv in the evening.
imagine actually being one of the faggots who like to read subtitles lmao
like just read a book wtf
>they just add the voice of a guy explaining what's happening on top of it all
Thats obscene
let him drink half a bottle of vodka beforehand and it becomes instant kino
lol i know right like why even watch movies if you dont understand what people are saying lmao
wait no you're an idiot
>a quality dub
This is the exception, not the norm.
depends where you live, really
ITT: things only American could say
Germans say it too.
In American vandal on Netflix, at least for the Italian dub, you can hear the original audio faintly in the back.
Not really, no. You've just been brainwashed to think it's fine where you live.
true. sound engineering in american movies is awful. the dialogue is always too quiet
That's not an American thing at all. Americans don't watch foreign media as a rule. There's simply not enough willing to watch it to justify dubbing. They even make remakes of British movies because they're too foreign, for fuck's sake. No, this is entirely a brainlet south-european thing.
i have internet and access to both versions. this topic never really gets talked about, thats why i made this thread.
>watch dubbed show or movie
>the translated jokes and wordplays don't make any sense
>They even make remakes of British movies because they're too foreign
Nope, it's because there's more profit to be made from remaking it rather than just dubbing it.
>Nope, it's because there's more profit to be made from remaking it
Yeah I suppose you've got a po-
>rather than just dubbing it.
>not knowing several languages so you can watch pretty much anything in it's native language
>not watching in native unsubbed even if you can't understand shit because if the movie can't convey it's message through action and cinematography it is shit anyways
I bet you clap after watching dvds.
>read translated version of Terry Pratchett book
>literally nothing has a humorous slant
Moving on to read the original is a mindblowing experience, there's so much left out in the translations.
see
>book
what did he mean by this?
Good dubs are 1 in a million and even then they often simply match the original rather than enhance the product. You've simply deluded yourself into believing dubs are better because you're incapable of watching in native.
>Good dubs are 1 in a million
i watch movies regulary with other anons on the internet via cytube or rabb.it(god bless its soul), i still prefer dub over non dub
you will never understand my point because you have never heard a good dub because you are simply an american
>tfw frenchfags and belgians have to deal with hollywood films dubbed by the quebecois
Nice try burger but you don't fool anyone, I can smell you all the way from here. I get it, the words are hard, they infuriate and confue you, and you can't clap when you're mad. But it's okay, you don't need to try so hard being a simpleton isn't so bad.
based retard
>implying anyone outside America watches dubs
Nice try
Blue country here, you're all infantile retards, and that includes the wast swathes of America who refuses to watch foreign cinema.
fuck off, communist
What the fuck is Latvia's problem?
the tv/film adaptations are all crap too and that's much less of a hurdle, don't know why anyone would think translating would work
i wanted to watch primeval i saw season 1 in my native language and there was no stream for that for season 2 god damn i couldnt bear hearing these characters with british english its so cringy
