So in the first Iron Man, Tony Stark was a total asshole. He had his mentor. He was in a cave with his mentor. Then what happened? His mentor fucking died. Because that's what mentors do.
It's fine that she shows up in Endgame because that's a flashback (just like Iron Man 3 had a flashback with Tony's mentor briefly appearing). You don't go back to that well though. Strange shouldn't be getting advice in his second movie, he has to handle shit out on his own.

Dark Phoenix could have been a lot better if the studio had more faith in it, didn't reshoot the ending, and didn't edit down the entire movie to the point where it's under 2 hours and feels like it only has a 2-act structure
