Just started the first episode. What i'm in for?
Too old to die young
What is it about?
(Yes, i got perma banned from google)
Refn autismo at it's most ludicrous. Best TV show since Twin Peaks.
a seedy aesthetic self indulgent mess of a film noir with glorious slow motion cinematography, taciturn to the point of parody characters staring into space, weird fetish shit and an unraveling and unsatisfying plot
if you like refn you'll like it, if you don't you won't
Long pauses
Peaked at episode 5 and you can easily skip last two episodes
pure kino
but in an ironic Yea Forums kind of way. I can't see why people hate it, the pauses give you time to appreciate the cinematography, plus there's a fair bit of humor you might miss if it was all action and fast conversations.
>taciturn to the point of parody characters staring into space
and I love it
is it fappable? any qts?
Oh yeah. Myrcella is a babe. The latina chick too.
That's retarded, what if he missed lol?
Kojima doesn't miss
WE LIVE IN A SOCIETY
meh
>You dont wanna fuck me?
Based and redpilled. Fuck that degenerate coalburner roastie.
YOU CAME AND YOU GAVE WITHOUT TAKING
Once the spitting stops you should turn it off.
Finished episode one. It completely redefined the concept of 'slow' for me.
obviously not a smoker (and that's a good thing)
watching paint dry on a wall is more compelling than this drivel.
Zoomers dont smoke. Tobacco industry will bankrupt in our lifetime.
They'll just move to selling weed to zoomers (and already have).
>dude weed lmao
Isnt weed more a millennials thing?
why didn't she answer?
i don't know. i'm 34 but have no friends and work with a bunch of 60 year olds so not really sure what generation does what.
absolute kinography
i'm pretty stupid, if I watch this will i have any idea what's going on or is it all metaphors?
The plot's straightforward. There is more to it but lot of it's just Refn being Refn. It's mainly worth watching for the visuals anyway.
The answer is obvious
Thanks
>What i'm in for?
Watching on x2 speed or going mad.
This.
But REFN homolust was real evident on this one.
Since the show is now cancelled, does season 1 feel "complete"? Or is it open ended for future seasons?
Refn said if he did more it would be an anthology series, focusing on the spirit of the first but with no characters returning
Actual kino. Slow kino, but kino nevertheless
And where did he say this?
This guy gets it
i'd say this is pretty much a mini series, the story itself wrapped up (in an unsatisfying way) and there isn't much else to do with it
BEST TV SHOW EVER MADE AFTER TWIN PEAKS
Sauce
Is that actually Hideo Kojima?
is this worth watching just for Nell?
An experience slightly more boring than watching paint dry. It's great if you wanna fall asleep quickly
>Best TV show since Twin Peaks.
It's not as good as TP S3 tho
>if you like refn you'll like it, if you don't you won't
i'm a huge fanboy but i barely made it through the first episode, felt like 10 fucking hours, will it get better/faster?
>It's not as good as TP S3 tho
Lynch fans should unironically be lynched.
>will it get better/faster?
Better, yeah, faster, no.
Also episode two is way more boring than the first.
This
Speak for yourself, I watched the entire series while heavily sleep deprived and my eyes were glued to the screen the entire time
took me hours to get trough episode 2 this show is so fucking boring
stopped watching after episode 8
it gets worse especially the mexican episodes
