>This here's a story about a girl who cried a river and drowned the whole world!

Gonna be meeting my actress next week to pick out her costume at a department store. I've found a quality DP willing to work for cheap. All I need is a sound mixer (i.e. some idiot who can hold a boom mic) and I'll be all set. I'm thinking I'll just hire the first female that applies so the production isn't so much of a sausage fest.
And I'm also still edging my way through the first draft of my 4th feature script.

Fagot. No one cares about your low budget knock off flick

;_;

Did you casting couch her?

I considered it, but the auditions where held inside a church and outright sacrilege seemed like a bad move this early in my career. However she is a Jew and is related to a certain famous comedian so either Christ or Satan where looking at me fondly and decided to give me a bit of a headstart on nepotism.

Whats your movie about?

It's a short thriller. The main character is a cute girl. The antagonist tries to lure her out her house.
I'll post it here once it's done (with all identifying credits censored ofc).

I am writing the next star wars, wish me luck!

I'm 95% done with a radio-drama fantasy series episode that'll clock in at about 1hr30mins. It's really fucking good, imo. Has a whole cast of actors, good score, good sound FX, good narrator, and I have two feature length episodes ready to go when this episode is done.

Here are the vague synopsis of what I'm working on, keeping some details intentionally obscure because this is Yea Forums.

>A lying folk hero who btfo some vampires is put on trial for murdering the prince.

And another

>A group of magically cursed individuals each share a vision of a hero who will save the world. They set up a pub and wait. The series follows their daily lives as they wait for the hero to turn up.

And my feature screenplay that clocked in at 109 pages on the pen-to-paper first draft

>In the future a small mining town has to prepare for a coming monstrous horde after humanity's frontline is defeated hours before.

I am so fucking sick of the incel luring the girl short film plots. Fucking stop with that shit.

OKAY I'M TRYING TO WRITE A 3-4 MINUTE SHORT THAT WILL BE FILMED NEXT WEEK AND I GOT DRUNK TO BRAINSTORM IDEAS BUT I'M STILL FUCKING STUCK.
I WANT IT TO NOT LOOK TERRIBLE BUT NOT TAKE UP ALL MY TIME BECAUSE I HAVE OTHER PROJECTS THAT NEED DOING.

PLEASE HIT ME WITH A PREMISE OR SHORT IDEA OR JOKE I CAN STEAL ANYTHING I'M JUST HITTING MY HEAD AGAINST A WALL HERE.

>incel luring the girl
The fact that you jump to this conclusion immediately suggests that you are the incel

Tinder but for people who want to fight

You literally said he was luring her out of the house. Are you dense?

I'm guessing you're a film student so literally anything you shoot will be acceptable. I encourage you to not make any plan and just take a bunch of pretty pictures, maybe having actors read lines from Shakespeare or the bible or just improvising a bit.
I find it truly pathetic how many film students overthink these dumb little projects they're assigned in the hopes they'll "make something not terrible." You're a film student. Whatever you make, it's going to be terrible.

Where the hell did you pull incel from?

>where
i dont know where you learned to spell were but fuck off.

Oh yeah I absolutely do agree with you, and you're right I am a film student, it's just I want to be make something mildly impressive because I feel like I dont have much faith from classmates in my work, and film school is pretty questionable as is and walking out without any 'connections' would be idiotic.

Actually the confounding of "where/were/we're" would be better defined as a grammatical error than a spelling one. But since that was just a typo I'll let it slide

AI anxiety film since it was an untapped theme but there's like a dozen that just came out in this year alone. Fuck.

>I want to be make something mildly impressive because I feel like I dont have much faith from classmates
Don't worry, you won't. If what you're trying to do is stand out from the rest of the students, you won't do that either. Everyone's focused on his or her own work first and foremost.
>walking out without any 'connections'
If you've got a contact list full of your fellow students you've already got all the contacts you're going to get.

>AI anxiety film was an untapped theme
When did you start writing, the 80s?
Keep at it user, the fact that there are a lot being made should tell you there's a big market for it. Don't worry about being the first to have an idea, just be the best.

A boy falls in love with a girl.
Unable to confess, he is gifted by a deus ex machina with the girl's phone number. Never minding the strange area code, he immediately calls her, and is overjoyed to find out that she has a crush on him as well.
But, the next day, when he recounts the previous day's confessions to the girl, she only looks at him with a perplexed expression. After some investigation, he finds out that the girl he called is not the same girl he fell in love with. In fact, she doesn't exist in this universe at all. She is the girl's alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with the MC's own AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of her crush.
Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the NATURE of LOVE.

well shit that calmed me down a lot putting it into perspective, honestly thanks man.
that said still gonna get drunk, have a good night man.

What good is a whole book worth of plot if you barely leave the house and have no friends, connections, budget or qualifications?

And that's exactly what you should be doing. You're not in med school my man, literally just hand in something and you'll get a good grade. You'll make your masterpieces when you're out of that place

Haven't started writing yet but I've got an idea of a thriller cooking up in my head.
A guy kills a kid in a car accident. He survives but the kid's father starts to torment and antagonise the guy.
I was hoping to maybe have a vibe of the film Dead Man's Shoes (especially Paddy Considine's performance with the dad character mixed with a bit of Ben Kingsley's performance in Sexy Beast when it comes to bluntness & anger) while having the look of maybe a Refn film (neon lights and the like)
It's kinda all over the place right now since I haven't got a full plotline ironed out. I'll probably start getting the outline done soon.
