Friends and HIMYM are both not particularly good shows. There are only a handful of moments which you could consider being pretty well written and performed. They were just both the more popular "wholesome" shows of their times.
I enjoy IASIP, but that's because it's mostly a subversion of the typical sitcom featuring a bunch of repulsive wankers. Got burned out by the more wholesome kind of sitcom shows. Seinfeld and Curb are still some of the better ones of the genre as far as I'm concerned.
