what do you think of tom holland's peter parker?
I'd definitely say he's more "fun" than Tobey. but
Tobey is more down to earth.

Tom Holland and Ty Simpkins are relentlessly handsome. I want to kiss them relentlessly.
I despite Holland making Spider-Man look like a fucking faggot. Seriously, Tom Holland looks like he takes multiple dicks a day, he should never have been cast as Spider-Man since faggots can easily self insert.
i watched Homecoming and it was a complete waste of time. the kid was ok as Peter and i liked his Aunt's big mature tits, but the film really had nothing going on.
how about hammonds peter?
new spidey sucks. i don't know who the fuck his stupid friends are, or why everyone in the world finds out his secret after their first meeting. he's a bitch to tony stark, even after he died.
the whole thing is fucked up. the tone is all wrong too. just such a shitshow.
the raimi movies captured the core of the character, these new films are shallow.
but it's not tom's fault. he looks right, he sounds right, the movies are just written like shit.
>kid
hes 23
Tom Holland could be great with better material. He looks the part and seems to be really in love with this character. With the correct writing he could be god tier.
But instead he's relegated to screeching "MR STARK MR STARK MR STARK HI I'M PETER PARKER WHAT'S YOUR NAME" every 10 minutes.
>what do you think about the 50th interpretation of capeshit icon #13?
nothing
italians did it better
Tobey did the friendly neighborhood Spidey (pretty much the essence of the character) much better. Also his suit was better, and not a loaner from Stark.
This
yeah and?
Elderfag who grew up on 1970s Spidey comics, here. Holland's version is passably entertaining, but at no point have I ever felt like I was watching Spider-Man. That's not to say that they needed to rehash all the old lore that Raimi already mined (beautifully, I might add), but they've strayed so far from the mythos that the only reason I even remember it's supposed to be Spider-Man is the costume. And even THAT sucks.
The one thing that irks me most is the way they turned "loner Spidey" into a fawning Stark fanboy with a squeaky voice. Jesus fucking Christ. Second worst part is the utter trashing of his supporting characters by miscasting them into something utterly unrecognizable.
I haven't even bothered to see Far From Home, yet. That'll be a rental for sure. Besides, 90% of it was spoiled for me in the trailers.
all of mysterio's deception being done by hologram drones was lazy
where did this picture come from was it promo stuff?

This. Peter has always had a big supporting cast but they would often just add more pressure because they had no idea he was Spidey. Now in the MCU Ned knows and MJ knows before they even start their relationship and even Flash isn't much of a bully, more of a minor annoyance that even the movie laughs at.
I think it was for a standard "picture on table" prop, though I don't know if it was ever visible in the film.
I haven't watched Far From Home because I can't pirate it yet, I don't feel too strongly for him and I can only hope that after Endgame he matures a little.
It was at the very least present at the hospital after Aunt May was attacked by the Green Goblin.
I wanna say it maybe reappeared in one of the sequels.
>can't
?
Friendly reminder that Hammond played that silver-haired director in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Well not can't, there just aren't any good versions out yet as far as I know and I'm not lowering myself to watch a camera copy of it.
Its the photo that peter shoots accidentally when hes in his room
he's the best spiderman so far. But maybe its just that the script and the stories work better than with the previous spiderman
I just want college student Spiderman already. I don't want to see anymore cringe.
eh i can mind cam rips just dont like them compared to an hd version
Bland. Soulless. He's like a cosplayer zoomer in a giant budget film. The movies are ok...but I don't feel like it really means anything beyond mindless entertainment. The themes of a hero are pretty important and spider-man was always about being an underdog superhero who just barely scraped by and kept his head up by being a wise ass and trying his ass off.
None of the film's have captures that.
Rami's stuff was his recollection of Spiderman in the 40s but strained through a Lois and Clark romance plot.
Garfield was just a smug cunt Chad in terrible scripts.
Marvel can polish turds. We saw that with captain fungus...but the definitive spider Man film hasn't been made
I warned you when that social network bozo was spidey that its shit now and the possibly worse homecoming era causes illness upon viewing
He's shit. Though honestly little of that is actually Holland's fault. Him being attached at the hip to iron man, the shitty costume, being an avenger from day one instead of a loner. Just boring. He isn't even Spiderman really.
Tom Holland is an ok Spiderman, Tobey had a charisma that Holland lacks as Spiderman, plus Tobey is much better in the more dramatic parts that Holland can't pull off. Holland isn't bad but he isn't amazing...
was this any good?
He's "fun" but there's a tinge of dishonesty there. Really wish we at least got a third Raimi movie. From what I've read, he was very adamant about making it the best Spider-Man movie yet, after part 3 didn't turn out like he wanted to.
All of nu-Spidey's conflicts are on a much, much larger scale (saving the entire universe), but they make it feel less impactful than Raimi's Spider-Man because Holland is just playing second banana to Iron Man the entire time. He doesn't hash out anything for himself, it's all handed to him (mostly by Stark). Tobey's Spider-Man felt much more like a nuanced hero who failed time and time again but learned from his mistakes. There were few points where I felt like nu-Spidey was being heroic.
I absolutely loved it, but I already had a fascination with that era of Hollywood (as well as the Tate murders, to a lesser degree), so this movie felt like it "made to order" for me. I honestly think you have to have some nostalgic appreciation for that time period to get the most out of it, but probably still entertaining even if that's not your bag.
Fourth*
These match my feelings perfectly.
>The movies are ok...but I don't feel like it really means anything beyond mindless entertainment.
The MCU in a nutshell. Not that there is anything wrong with that, trying to make people in spandex outfits into artistic figures doesn't work with a good portion of the audience, and there is something to be said for being able to just turn your brain off for a few hours after a stressful day/week. But it really is all forgettable McCinema that you forget you even watched for the most part soon after. I never get the urge to go back and watch any amazing scenes, even if I enjoyed any given movie at the time, for the MCU or even to go rewatch any of the movies other than maybe the original Iron-Man and Captain America Winter Soldier.
I've rewatched season one of Daredevil and Arrrow (season 1 onry) more than I've rewatched any of the movies at this point.
