Just got out of Scary Stories To Tell In the Dark

I did too actually. I thought it was kinda shit and the main character was annoying and the forced romance had no place in it.

I thought overall the creature sequences and designs were awesome and I appreciate how true they stayed to the art style and designs in the books. I liked the movie a lot overall. I do agree that the romance and the family drama were unnecessary but I just sort of tuned out during those parts.

Wait, they made a movie? WHY? I'm so out of the loop but that sounds like it would be as good as the Goosebumps Staring Black Jack.

how many people got shot irl

Is it worth seeing if you're older than 25?

do they all die

is it really that bad

its okay

Do you also think that the pale lady sequence was absolutely phenomenal and the best part of the movie hands down?

absolutely the best scene

the body count is higher than I thought it would be

I would say so, especially if you read the books as a kid

no it's a decent afternoon flick

Don't need to since the trailer spoiled 90% of the movie

I definitely appreciate the fact that The two male leads straight up stayed dead/missing
at the end. Brave move for a YA movie.

What was with all the negative depictions of white males?

Can Guillermo Del Toro give the racism arrest for one project?

I didn’t walk into Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark to watch a bunch of passive aggressive whining jabs at white dudes and.... Richard Nixon? Bitching about the Vietnam War?

I just wanted an evil scarecrow killing dudes, and fun creepy shit.

Yes, alone this wasn’t a big deal, but it just another “drip” —and after 60 years of drips, we’re drowning.

You wanna know why “why males” are angry and snapping? It’s because after 60 years of “drip drip drip” the lake has overwhelmed the dam.

Anyhow... even without the leftist undercurrent, I didn’t like what they did with the stories.

It was literally the Goosebumps movie with a more serious tone.

It would have been better as a streaming service’s series of short vignettes that actually just turned the book stories into films.

I won't ask you anything I've seen it and it was mediocre as fuck

Not really—remember what girl MC says at the end?

I liked it.

Decent schlock, the child actors weren't annoying, design was great. Weakest part was the plot, but it gets the job done. If you read these books in elementary school, you'll probably like it. Movie is best enjoyed with rose tinted lenses.

To add on to this, I was literally jumping with glee when I realized the brown kid was going to hook up with the cute little white girl. All I could think of was how angry all the poltards were going to be.

Honestly, if it wasn't for those faggots always going on about it, I wouldn't even given their race a second thought.

Tommy, Auggie and Ramon are relentlessly handsome. I want to kiss them relentlessly.

It did have a "It" for kids vibe to it though.

Oh you....
