GE999 is a story meant for children, in which a child has adventures on different planets that ultimately teach him a lesson about humanity, manhood, adulthood and why it's good to be a flesh and blood human (his initial quest is to get a mechanized body)
In the west, the general ideology of movies and media in general is completely opposed to anything GE999 taught to children. Transhumanism is depicted as the ultimate point of life, while men are discouraged from ever growing up and especially from having masculine qualities/values. Why the fuck would it be adapted?
