Why do studios allow actors to express their political views?
Money.
They're rewarded for pushing the "correct" narrative and punished if they don't. It's all propaganda to influence public opinion.
When does it get to the part when the celebrities start saying dumb political opinions? I watched two minutes and it was just normal banal shit most people agree with.
I watched the whole thing and I don't get it either, I just kept nodding my head saying "yeah, of course!" until the end I was getting a little worked up and excited, seeing these luminaries share such brave and forward thinking ideas I started to cry really hard and my mom came in and asked me what's the matter, and I just said the world is so beautiful mom, why do people live in hate and not just share everything like good people in the Bible did? She broke down and wept with me. God bless these artist pioneers in philosophy
>normal banal shit
>allowing people to have opinions
The fuck
People can say things? That's fucked up, dude...
gotta be seen supporting the cause of the week if you want to be in work
Some of it was typical political remarks, others were fuelled by stupidity.
The only ones I thought were dumb was:
-Jennifer Lawrence going on about the pay gap without realising what on Earth she is talking about, thinks it's because people are scared of women.
-Clooney not understanding that fear is an incredible motivator for politics. People are scared of losing their jobs, scared for their family, scared for a bad economy, scared of terrorism, etc. He also thinks refugees is the biggest crisis?
-Mark's stupid chants about race and skin colours
-De Niro being angry about the state of country without realising that what his divisive statements is what's contributing to the state of it.
-Streep calling the Press and Hollywood, two of the most influential spheres in America, the most vilified people, at the mercy of those who have no power and no influence.
>business contracts should have the power to deny your human rights
>am I cool yet?
>STOP SAYING THINGS I DONT LIKE
>FREE SPEECH IS FOR ME AND NO ONE ELSE
Grow some fucking balls
>Why do studios allow actors to express their political views?
implying they are not paying the actors to say certain things for money.
This is the state of americans, they could take a lot of right from them and they would'nt bat an eye. The brainwashing since 9/11 has worked quite well
NOOOOO I WONT LIKE SOMEONES MOVIES ANYMORE IF THEY DISLIKE THE PRESIDENT
Land of the free, baby. Also, if you can't separate the art from the artist you're literally a candyass
who is the cunt celebrating about her first abortion?
They do though. You can't express "extreme" opinions in the armed forces, or any political leanings working most positions for an investment bank. You represent the brand, you're free to leave if you like.
>why don't corporations take MORE rights and freedoms away from people??!?
Fuck off
Because the elites are all on the left, so if you like investors or rich people to support you this is gold.
Poor people are poor.
>You can't express "extreme" opinions in the armed forces
Terms of service in the military are a special case
Martha Plimpton
Mark Ruffalo, before he got famous, was showing up in 9/11 conspiracy theory rallies
Don't take them seriously. Half the time these people don't know what the fuck they are talking about.
HWNDU still makes me kek
Because thier political views aligns with the propaganda being pushed by the same studios. But when it's the opposite...oy vey
e.g. James Woods
This, most of them are incredibly dumb.
Jennifer lawrence didnt even finish school and she won an oscar.
