yes and yes. If you're interested then try reading an issue online. The comic is very edgy and juvenile at times but it's funny at times too.

Don't bother. The comic is garbage.

if its garth ennis
and
the protagonist is in a bedroom setting with his love interest

be prepared to skip the great text-wall of autism

The comic is edgier than Crossed which was pretty fucking edgy to begin with

Wasn’t crossed just snuff comics? I’m pretty sure The boys comic series had a story

This

The comic is comically over-the-top in both violence and language, it's supposed to be so outrageous that you would find it funny.

Going to go against the grain and say read it. The comic is...unique. On the surface it is a edgy gorefest that could be described as needless. This is true. From the first issue you know that violence is going to be in your face and never going to reel itself in. Because of this, many people will dismiss the comic and never give it a second thought. All that said, if you manage to stick with it you will find a series that is meticulously crafted, contains biting commentary on a a plethora of issues, and heart. There is a sincerity in this comic that will not be picked up by a large majority of people but its there.

Crossed people were edgy because of the infection which is a shitty explanation but an explanation nonetheless.
The Boys is just edgy for the sake of edgy.

>to be fair you to have a very high IQ to understand the Boys

thats a pretty big fucking spoiler dude.

The comic is very different and far more entertaining than the show, don't listen to the Amazon shills. Most of the best story beats are going to be impossible in the show because of all the things they change to make it more MCU fan friendly.

The comic is not great but it's at least consistent in tone. The TV show treats way too much shit like it's serious drama when the whole thing ought to be a farce.

Stop trying to be a douchenozzle for the sake of it. The series isn't for everyone. You either stick with it or you don't. Some people enjoy what is has to offer and others don't. Both opinions are valid.
FUCKINGCUNT!

Not really. It's a nothing four issue arc and it's kinda obvious that Hughie wasn't going to let anything happen to them.

The comic is cringe shit and God damn is the art inconsistent. So many issues just look like absolute trash.

The Tek-Knight arc having a Batman expy (rich guy decides to be a super, lives in a mansion, has a butler and young boy sidekicks) who also made his own suit Ironman style have a psychological issue that he randomly wanted to fuck things and you learn after the comic goes full absurd with him saving the Earth from a meteor strike by him fucking one that he had the issue due to having a tumour in his brain the size of a fist is pretty much how The Boys as a comic was.

Bruh The Boys at least has ability to justify itself as a satire of Superheroes and by extension a parody of celebrity worship and The Military-Industrial Complex. Crossed Eli Roth style edgy horror.

It's only good for the Super Duper arc, the rest is kinda shitty

Malchemical did nothing wrong

It's Ennis, so edgy for better or worse. The first issue has a dog rape another dog on command.

Are you scared to ask there?

>when he said "twot" in the show
Yea literally nobody in England says it with an O, it's twat you bunch of twats.

i got ignored last time i did

he was about to rape some special needs kids.

Yeah, that pisses me off too. Bong here.
It's Tw-at, like hat, but it's a twat.
Where the hell did this twot shit start anyway? It's not even spelled like twot.

Yeah it's worth a read

Just finished the comic, read it over a few days, and haven't seen any of the TV show.
Yes there's a lot of cringy shit. Mostly to do with the grimdark edgy shit. Ennis is a pervert who thinks that everyone else is, and that's the worst thing in the world.
The art is god awful, characters don't even look like each other page to page. The only time and effort was done during the gory scenes. The dialogue was pretty bad, cringy at times but mostly just boring. "Frenchie"'s frenglish and Hughie's Scottish speaking were just distracting.
The story was definitely stretched to include random/pointless arcs, as well as fit in every group of mainstream superhero and lampoon them. Some were clever, others were just obvious and stupid.
However when it's good, it's really good. The airplane scene is the best in the whole series, and probably worth reading just for that. As soon as it got to "and this episode we do the backstory for THIS character" i just skipped to the end. Ending was sorta good.
Overall: yeah it wasn't too bad, for a comic
