its better than homecoming but that isn't a very high bar.
what do you think?
Its better than homecoming but that isn't a very high bar
There isn't a single scene in Far From Home that was better than the scene in Homecoming with Vulture and Peter in the car.
far worse than homecoming, only because of keaton though
they should have had old vulture like in the ditko comics
Fucking yawn. Drones? Whats this bullshit on faking the multiverse. Were they riding the hype of spiderman Into the multiverse?
> Oh no mysterio lied. In Dr. Strange they said multiverse.
I didn't think Homecoming was that good but it was better than this.
Both leaned heavily on the villains being pretty interesting.
It was the worst movie I’ve seen in theaters in years. They basically turned it into a Thor: Ragnarok -tier memefest of inane, childish gags not even kept loosely coherent by any semblance of logic or continuity. A complete bastardization of both the character and filmmaking itself, writ large. It was like a Big Bang Theory episode for the big screen - I honestly would not be surprised at all if the next one has a laugh track so that the arfing seals in the audience don’t miss their cues
"im from earth 616"
spidey: gets his teeth knocked out
HHAHAHHAHA
what's next in the spider home trilogy
The franchise needs pepper
A sexual tension
I completely agree with you, but I laughed when Peter socked Pajeet Flash in the face. It was the only time I laughed.
Mysterio's illusions when Spider-Man goes to Germany.
Personally I liked Mysterio better than Vulture so I liked Far From Home better.
Gay. Literally a factory-made film with absolutely nothing to offer
This
Mysterio is one of my all-time favorite Spider-Man villains but the only way that scene is better than the one I mentioned is in visuals, not in narrative.
Didn't it make a billion dollars more than Flopzam?
China loves their Spider-Man
i laughed at the led zepplin joke but nothing else
Homecoming is a good movie but a bad Spider-Man movie.
Good Iron Lad movie
It was entertaining. What more do you want?
Nah that's not even it, I don't mind Iron Man's pressence.
Spider-Man is all about consequences, responsibility and the difficulties of balancing hero and personal life. There's very little of any of that, every time he makes a mistake or has to give up something for his hero business, nothing bad really happens as a result. He fucks up as Spidey and Iron Man bails him out, he fucks up as Peter Parker and nobody really cares. He ditches Ned at the party, Ned doesn't care, he's still his friend. He quits his quiz team, they don't care and still welcome him back with open arms. Then he ditches them at the last moment for the big competition and they still don't care, he still gets get girl afterwards. Very little things have consequences which make the decisions he has to make feel hollow. Compare that the Raimi movies - Peter has to ditch MJ, MJ remembers that and doesn't like and starts to date someone else; Peter can't be honest with his friend Harry and he starts to resent Peter. That's why people love the Raimi movies, they feel more genuine and capture the core of Spider-Man.
The only time Holland Spidey has to face negative consequences is when he loses his suit which- surprise surprise- is when the movie starts to get really good.
trash
but it made a squillion dollars so there'll be 17 more
I'm not sure how he's in the comics but the Mysterio in Far From Home has to be one of the worst villains in all of MCU. His motivation is essentially wanting fame. That probably ranks below wanting to be rich in the "interesting villain" scale. And how can the holograms be impactful?
It's not just visuals though. It's Mysterio mentally breaking down Spider-Man, calling him a little kid, guilt tripping him over Iron Man, and tricking him with the Fury hologram. He delivers the final gut punch by telling him it's his fault his friends are going to die before he gets hit by the train.
It's a great scene because unlike Vulture, who Peter knows is a villain from the get-go, Peter thinks Beck is his friend, someone he can trust, but Beck keeps subtlety mocking him until Peter gives up the glasses. Then he goes into full "fuck you" territory.
>It's a good thing but not a good "blank" thing
Wipe this meme from the face of the earth.
This. I don't understand why everyone loves Mysterio so much, he was complete shit
>Wipe this meme from the face of the earth.
Sorry if the concept of things having different qualities depending on which aspects you value offends you.
Apology accepted.
