What am I in for?
About to watch this
Probably the weakest Avengers movie. Quicksilver is fun though.
It's just a teaser for the next movies.
The "age of Ultron" lasts 3 days. They should have made a whole phase about it.
Avengers being friendly and bros which was desperately needed
A mediocre villain, but great new supporting characters
Basically, ‘fun’. I’m a comic fan so I enjoy any time these characters are put on screen without being character assassinated, so I enjoyed Avengers 2, but seeing them neuter Ultron along with some other taken liberties (won’t put bc of spoilers) was annoying
bit of a mess desu, the original cut was like 20-30 minutes longer and the studio made them edit it down because they thought everyone was too adhd to sit through it.
Why did they never release the extra 20-30 minutes as a director's cut or something?
shit
Slavsilver a cute, CUTE!
A grossly disjointed experience. It's like they made two thematic cuts of the movie and mishmashed them together. Ultron never appears as a threat and is more silly than anything yet when offscreen is considered an unstoppable cold and calculating monster.
dunno, I guess whedon's relationship with marvel was breaking down by then.
Underrated movie IMO, people mostly like the first movie more because it came first, in terms of quality they’re about equal but at least AOU doesn’t look like a made for TV special
Enjoy the awkward fanfiction-esque shipping between Hulk and Widow complete with total retcon of an established romantic interest to remove them from possibly interfering with the director's OTP.
Spader's Ultron entrance was perfect and they knew it. It's why all of the advertising only used sound clips from that opening monologue.
Then they butchered him by making him a crazy emotional quip-bot. Good thing they learned how to make villains by the time Thanos came along.
Avengers have always been my favorite superhero team, and ultron has always been my favorite villain.
FUCK you are right, they got him perfect for his entrance and pretty much everything you see in the trailer, then he became RoboStark quipster and stopped being remotely threatening. What a fucking waste
Never read the comics, what was Ultron like in those?
he was built by mr bendy in fantastic four in every other version iirc, not an iron man villain.
pure unfiltered kino
It's shitty and boring. Go straight to Infinity War.
I thought it was Hank Pym that made him?
Least threatening villain in the franchise
yeah, he was, I'm an idiot.
A really shitty movie
A fun spectacle with literally nothing deeper.
Worst Avengers movie.
The weakest Avengers movie, but it's a fine watch.
I remember going to see this expecting something like Infinity War/Endgame in terms of giving closure to some of the characters, passing the torch, opening up new plot and introducing new menaces, overarching plots, etc
Turns out is the most stand alone and skipable movie of the entire franchise. All you need to know about it is shown again in Civil War
In fact, I think Civil War was a far more satisfying “Avengers 2” than this was.
think that's why civil war was basically avengers 2.5, age of ultron not really living up to the hype.
Language!
Come to think of it, they really should have given Utron more of a Thanos mindset. Give him the "not enough resources to go around" idea. Hes an AI designed to protect earth. Culling due to overpopulation makes way more sense than jumpstarting evolution for a "bigger threat".
kind of like what king crimson dose
>MCU Ultron
>Threatening
