its one of the problems with musicals like Les Mis, in that the original cast was so fucking good and iconic that anyone else trying to do it is coming in with the handicap of simply not being them. That said I thought Wolverine was pretty good, but then that's not that surprising giving Jackman has a legitimate Broadway background, honestly they whole thing was at worst passable and pretty good in a few spots with the exception of Crowe who said fuck who needs actual vocal technique or training for a musical I'll just belt everything
