just watched tourette ep. pretty good

Krazy Kripples is the goat

Most of the old episodes are fine wine. It's only the current ones that are milk. They're just way too specific to a current event to have any value. Either you watched it while the current event was going on, or you don't watch it at all.

>wine
Death Camp of Tolerance
Mr Garrison's Fancy New Vagina
>milk
It's Christmas in Canada (Saddam has weapons of Mass Destruction in heaven lol)
Butters Very Own Episode (the one family they accuse of murder were proven innocent with DNA evidence)
Cripple Fight (Big Gay Al just bends over and accepts that scouts shouldn't hire gays if they don't want to)
I think these episodes are still good though

200 and 201 are like the finest most fresh milk ever, it was amazing and grand at first, but now is just, euh

THANKS CLOUDFLARE YOU ASSHOLES

gave this one a good watch on Tuesday.

youtube.com/watch?v=FeH4oDirZJA

Ass Burgers is probably my favorite, but I also happen to be a depressed alcoholic who's on the spectrum and works in the food industry despite having a masters degree. I also thought it was amazing that they did a DXM episode back in the day, but I kind of doubt zoomers even know what that is.

spookyfish, the GOAT episode.

Attached: SpookyFish20.jpg (535x402, 24K)

Mr Garrison gets a vaginoplasty or whatever it's called. Seeing all the trannies nowadays that episode is still relevant

The ones where the kids are just being kids. For example, the one where they steal the girls "fortune teller" folded paper thing becausethey think it has some magic power.

this

Replace video cameras with smartphones, and yes, absolutely.

too many to name

I watched this one the other week, found it very amusing how little things have changed, here. They even had the "when men do X it's fine" scene.

Why is Southpark allowed to have nice threads while Simpson's threads are getting sneed?

I'm a zoomer and I've done DXM. That episode was a pleasant surprise.
God I miss DXM.

Watched that one recently, extremely relevant and still funny.

Chef Goes Nanners was on Comedy Central earlier tonight and it feels like it's directly in response to Charlottesville despite airing in 2000.

Stanley's cup is hilarious

One of the rarer examples of art clearly outgrowing the creators (or vice versa, depending on your perspective). They're a lot more soft on trannies than they used to be.

What's funny is they did an episode that was a direct response to Charlottesville and I imagine Chef Goes Nanners is more salient than the topical episode they did.

I bet when Trey gets remarried he'll marry a tranny.

For me it is Butt Out. This episode is perfect. The boys burn down part of the school but their parents are just angry they smoked. Cartman enjoying being the face of a stop smoking campaign and his comeuppance. Rob Reiner and the anti smoking campaign and how they were depicted.

They used to time re-airings just to troll. Like the day Michael Jackson died, it was the Michael Jackson episode airing on repeat nonstop.

I wasn't blogging, assfucker, he said he doubted zoomers would know what DXM is, I was proving him wrong. Put a belt around your neck and hang yourself from a doorknob, queer.

I thought the old shit wouldn't age well, but they were pleasant re-watches on Hulu. A lot of them were stand-alone plots that only referenced shit within that universe. That doesn't mean that shit like Make Love not Warcraft still isn't great either. I would say from 2012 and on is where things actually sound dated. There's references to shit that happened during that time that nobody would give a fuck about now.

Jacking it in San Diego was comedy gold, though.

Butters had some great episodes. Bennigan's and the one where he becomes a pimp are amazing.

Super Best Friends and Cartoons Wars. More relevant every alola snackbar incident.

I think smoking is profoundly retarded, but some of those anti-smoking ads make me want to pick it up out of spite.
The “how do you do, fellow kids?” ones are almost worse than the “hey, check out this 60 year old smoker’s rotting lung” ones.

homos and fujos really ruined south park

No, Matt and Trey becoming Marxists ruined South Park.
I honestly just want them to go full-on with the pandering to the gays and fujos. At least I can enjoy that - I can't enjoy two-parters dedicated to portraying Marxism in a positive light, however.

James Cameron the greatest pioneer... I can't believe Cameron having so much fans in this board haven't mentioned this one

Fuck I have watched south park for over 2 years almost literally every night but never seen this one. I dont know why fucking comedy central excludes some episodes (at least in my country)

Forgot about that one!

what have they done to pander to marxism, user?

the entire amazon 2-parter was, according to matt stone on the episode commentaries, a "lesson in marxist critiques of capitalism" and "marxist economics."

IT wasn't JUST about WoW, it was also good satire about Fantasy tropes. They do it all the time

only a crab person wouldn't capitalize "White"

Rewatched marjorine just now. Saw it a thousand times before yet still laughed.

I fucking hate early season episodes. Besides feeling camp and nostalgic there is no appeal, they were only watchable back then because SP was new and wowing people by being crude.

Imaginationland would’ve been the perfect series finale

So you know how south park has a bunch of board games and shit in their episodes? I was a representative of one of those board games and I was able to meet him recently because of how much he liked the game. Feel free to ask me question to know a bit of life about Trey parker and shiet

S6 is incredible tho

Why does Trey not hire non-whites? (Asians don’t count)

The DXM episode has the best visual representation of what tripping on DXM is actually like. It's obvious Trey and Matt had experience.

Butters' real name is Leopold. He's Leo.

Exactly, Marjorine is one of the best. Lil Crime Stoppers is another good one with similar themes.

OHH ho ho HOH
SCISSOR me TIMBERS

come on man. You know how racist south park gets. He seemed like a real straight up guy, Adrien beard (voice of token) kinda shows that he knows what type of people he surrounds himself with. It seems that he doesnt like the super PC people but he is fine with people that are capable of making fun of themselves (like how everyone should). I made a bunch of jokes that made me and everyone that I was with a bit degrading and he and the people he was with laughed at them a lot. You can't be a faggot and be super defensive about yourself.

To legitimately answer your question, he or him and Matt leans more towards the side that isn't afraid of being made fun of. I mean come the fuck on this is south park we are talking about. Everyone in every spectrum of every race gets made fun of. If you are comfortable with making jokes making fun of yourself, you are really not suitable within the TV or even film business. Can you imagine someone being on the board of writers who constantly says 'Wow this is pretty offensive right here'

When that guy punches and pisses on butters while hes sleeping. One of those moments I found myself amazed that they were still doing surprising things so many seasons in. It was unexpected and funny as fuck.

they've been specific to current event since at least season 7, and those were good. Last couple seasons have been weak but the ads season, I think it was season 19, was great despite being their first continuity experiment

Stop. South park was the first to do many things. The fact that its popular doesnt mean it was catering to plebs. You queers did the same thing to Always Sunny. You can call a show formulaic but that doesn't apply to episoded as noteworthy as the tennorman one.

Do you guys ever wonder the EXACT moment South Park died? I can tell you. It was that god damned twitter/dmv episode.
I don't have the time to go full on autistic and explain every nuance as to why. However if you go back through and skim the summary of the previous two seasons you will find the writing team had worked long and hard to repair Eric Cartmans character, particularly he and Kyle's relationship. The two supposed to be freinds had had their relationship of hatred flanderized to death by this point and had gotten stale and it was really refreshing to soo changes being made.
And then they open up the episode with Kyle calling Cartman fat and Eric hating on Kyle for being a Jew. No prior context. No relevant punchline thereafter. It was just filler being placed in because that's just what Cartman and Kyle do "haha".
Fucking terrible. Didnt help that the episode was trash too but in one fell swoop whatever diversity hire writer they had on for that one undid all.of the characterization up to that point and locked in the flanderized aspects of the characters forever ensuring the show would slowly spiral away from its former greatness.
Note that the same thing then happened again with Cartman and Heidi as they trashed a metric ton of potential to pull off the same gag they had just done 2 seasons prior.
New SP epsiode really do feel like a bunch of dolphins picking random word balls to form joke ideas.

Strangest LARP I've seen in a while. Nah he's passed out drunk like most of Yea Forums right now.

>be mixed race kid
>dad runs away
>new dad is south park creator

Kids going to be pretty based when he grows up.

I'm not calling south park redditcore, just that episode specifically cause it's overhyped and overrated as fuck by users of that site. I love south park and that episode isn't bad, just overrated as i said. Always Sunny is definitely trash tho, the humor is about as funny and clever as a 2009 youtube skit

Heidi and all of that is really recent in the southparkverse, along with PC principal I would certainly agree South Park is a different show by then where all of the characters are struggling not to parody themself with Cartman and Randy being nearly broken from overuse like Matt and Trey's surely wellworn dildos.

But you can't call that episode redditcore because that literally wasnt a thing back then, it's like calling Superjail a Rick and Morty show. You just have hipster disease, probably terminal unfortunately. Very contagious on 4chin.

>But you can't call that episode redditcore because that literally wasnt a thing back then
but reddit loves it now. That's some reallys stupid logic. Shawshank Redemption is redditcore too and it's much older. How new are you?

The show jumped the shark when they started adding dramatic music stings to every scene. We get it, the situation's absurd but the show treats it seriously. Ha ha.

Yeah. I think in general the show lost something when the animation started looking more clean and polished too. Part of the charm was the cheap construction paper look.

It really is tragic how hard SP struggles to remember what it used to be like. A big honorary mention goes to the episode where Cartman abused gender identity to get his own bathroom and at the end of the epsiode Wendy might as well turn to the camera, have her VA switch directly to Trey and in his normal voice monologue " gotta break it to you folks we really dont know what the fuck to think or how the fuck to go about tackling this topic". Ever since then they have really refrained from going all out on any of this sjw nonsense.
Which is what would have made Heidi possibly the savior of the entire show.
Fuck I am about to go spaz even though I said I wouldn't.
In short, Cartmans character became too one dimensional after Butters was made more of a full time character to try to replace Kenny. Kenny never really had a personality so they opted to steal Cartmans naive and aloof half (my mom isnt on crack whore magazine!) to give to Butters (who was actually quite mean in his few original appearances). This diminished Cartman.
Likewise Wendy was supposed to be a bit of a more down to Earth voice of reason type character but like Kyle she was sucked into a forced rivalry with this half character Cartman and essentially became his opposite extreme.
Heidi was the perfect setup and opportunity to re-humanize Cartman and flesh out his character more. While also providing the more cucked modern writers (cant entirely blame them for treacly lightly these days either) the opportunity to have Heidi be a moderate. Have her both talk Cartman out of his more insane views, whilst also allowing his more reasonable views to sway her to his side. But alas they took the same joke they had just done and redid it. Fucking weak.

Pretty much every episode while Chef was still alive holds up for me. After that the show became more hit or miss. At least that's the cutoff I use.

Attached: SouthParkChef.png (180x263, 58K)

yeah i hate seeing new characters with detailed hair and clothes next to old ones

> Kenny never really had a personality so they opted to steal Cartmans naive and aloof half (my mom isnt on crack whore magazine!) to give to Butters (who was actually quite mean in his few original appearances). This diminished Cartman.
Good point. I like early season Cartman the best and never thought about it that way.

The one where mr garrison gets his dick cut off kind of ruined south-park for me. I realize most of you hate people who are transgender so it's like, the best thing ever for you, but ... the fact that southpark is based and redpilled means I can't personally enjoy it.

At least I will always have rick and morty!

I agree with you there! Love those matching numbers on your post too ;)

based analysis

I think calling this reddit is the Yea Forums equivalent of reddit, though.

Dilate faggot

Once they converted episodes to flash to have online clips when the internet was too slow for video they realized computer animation was the only choice.

There was that one where the boys had to do a presentation about what the founding fathers would have had to say about the war in Iraq, and even though it was topically specific to its day, a lot of the themes were very universal, and at the end of the episode, there was a musical number where all the characters sang about how they didn't care about the war in Iraq at all because it was the 100th episode and broke the 4th wall.

THAT was a good episode, where even though it was specific to its time, it still has immense rewatchability.

Oh yeah cartman going back in time was great. Always enjoyed cinematic episodes.

That's actually a fair message.
It was a retarded episode about some literal who Joke thief who no-one outside of the US had heard about. Also it made fun of Based Ye.

> I think it was season 19, was great despite being their first continuity experiment
Fucking this!
People need to rewatch season 19, it's one of the genuinely good ones

Season 19 kinda felt like they got their groove back for the first time in a decade. The episodes actually became more relevant the year after they aired, like I didn't even know what a Safe Space was before then and now they're everywhere.

Answer this Yea Forums if there was a real censorship by Comedy Central of Muhammed over South Park's depiction of said prophet, then why was said depiction still shown in the opening credits well into supposed censorship. Were Matt and Trey just trolling us and the media?

Go find a rip of epsiode 201 or just read about it. Some fag found the uncensored version on their website.
Matt and Trey self censored Muhammed as a part of the joke. The only thing that was actually censored was the ending speech which basically went "I learned something today, the only way to be sure you get what you want it with threats of violence".
