I don't like it. SS3 made sense as the top tier because it burned through a lot of energy so using it had some drama to it and had definite downsides.

God was this new realm of power Goku was buttmad about needing help to reach because he knew he'd never have made it there yet nearly every villain from the beginning of Super has casually been God level and beyond, let alone SSB level and beyond. Shits fucking retarded.

He says he gives up and will never fight again because he's such a Jobber he never beat Kakarot and watched his kid die in front of him helpless before Kakarot's 12 year old saved his life and beat Cell. He's literally throwing a pity party, family is less important than his shattered pride, which is why when Goku comes back for 24 hours at the WT he's back to fighting, and is so willing to go Majin Vegeta and kill random people to get him to fight

He gives up the fight because:
>He still gets absolutely powermogged by Goku who it turns out is actually a galaxy brain warrior who doesn't need to go back in the chamber to train any more and totally surpassed Vegeta in 1 year vs Vegeta's 2
>Is double powermogged by Cell who at his most suppressed could still have absolutely broken Vegeta in half with 0 effort, and then it gets worse because not even Cells full power was even close to being needed for him to beat the piss out of Goku
>Finally triple powermogged by Goku's 9 year old son achieving a level of Super Saiyan so strong he could have decimated the entire cast of Z up til that point single handedly at the same time
>Watched his son get his heart blown up by a Cell who got even stronger than he was before
>Watched his ultimate rival make a big dick sacrifice and could never be revived as far as he knew, meaning he was cucked out of his redemption of finally beating the low class scrub who fucked up his pride

Being a family man is just the end result of all that mental damage he took. He didnt give up fighting to be a dad.
