S01E01-07 of Babylon 5 done and

>neverending exposition dumps
>cringe theatrical delivery
>cringe patter between characters
>cringe canned wisdom
>cringe ponderous dialog
>cringe human/alien harmony messaging
I don't remember it being this painful watching through it all over 10 years ago. Does it ever let up? I'd pick any of the worst DS9 episodes over these B5 eps so far

Who cares, all that matters is that its confirmed that DS9 ripped off B5

based soul hunters bringing the bants with their weird ear curtain things

Ripped some of the ideas. Then proceeded to execute a much better show.

>There's a hole in your mind.

>You talk a Minbari, Commander.

>We were right about you.

>Why did the Minbari surrender at the battle of the line??!!

>We never had a chance. You say we could have won, but you weren't there, you didn't see them! When I looked at those ships, I...I didn't just see my death -- I saw the death of the whole damn human race!
>THEN WHY DID THEY SURRENDER?!
>I DON'T KNOW! Maybe the universe blinked! Maybe God changed his mind! All I know is that we got a second chance!

Even the main writer admits the show is pretty shite until season 2

Bullshit. DS9 is a failed mixture of religiousness and hard sci fi. The faith related themes of Bab5 fit perfectly.

Have some mother fucking orange juice, it'll get better.

Ok but how much of that painful stuff disappears? I remember there's even this out of place goofy Robin Hood type fantasy insert character later on too, so that's a mark against the later seasons

There's no hard sci-fi in star trek at all.

This made me all bumpy, pure unadulterated kino.

Had a budget with paramount behind it with a vested interest in the success of DS9, while B5 was constantly jerked around. DS9 has no character as good as G'kar or Londo, hell even Kosh.

He's probably the character/tv/ should relate to most.

Ok, call it 'dry sci fi'.

are technomages the natural evolution of larpers?

dry-fi?

Dreyfus.

Season 1 of B5 was not very good. Seasons 2 through 4 are better than anything on DS9 or most all scifi tv in general.

Seasons 3 and 4 reinvented the entire television landscape.

The only worthy thing of B5 was Londo-G'kar moments.

The handling of Sinclaire's exit in the later seasons is probably the best "we need to give a graceful exit to a character" ever done in tv.
