>Mr. Bolie Jackson, 183 pounds, who left a second chance lying in a heap on a rosin-spattered canvas at St. Nick's Arena. Mr. Bolie Jackson, who shares the most common ailment of all men, the strange and perverse disinclination to believe in a miracle, the kind of miracle to come from the mind of a little boy, perhaps only to be found in the Twilight Zone.
I just opened the episode to grab a screenshot when I saw your post. The Big Tall Wish is my favorite episode and its not one of the usual ones you see in favorite lists.

Can somone explain why they like this one so much?
dude its the devil! no youre wrong...woah it actually IS the devil no way!
spotted a mile away

serling had some of the best monologues

its not a twist that blows your mind but the ending where eh trapped the devil again and was pleading with the woman/viewer to believe him was great. i saw it when i was younger and so that may have played a part in it but its a great watch. will the real martian please stand up is kino too

The one where the guy believes he went to heaven because he gets whatever he wants but in reality he was in hell the whole time

glad someone else likes it. usually someone derails it with racebait trolling but it's a genuinely good episode.

It's not about whether it's the devil or not. We as the audience already know it is from the opening. It's about how the devil tricks us. How one man's foolishness dooms the world to suffering. You're watching the devil at his finest, pulling off a con to gain his freedom while seeing man at his weakest. That weakness is contrasted with the strength of the shepherd. And in the end time, their kindness was their undoing.

That was a shitty episode. TZ had much better "people stuck in a room" episodes and the retarded twist at the end stuck out like a sore thumb.

Well said

I think one of the worst episodes I've seen was about a little five-foot jockey who made a wish to become big so he grew to around eight feet and then his manager came into his room and told him he was too tall to ride a horse so the guy broke down and cried.

That sounds hillarious. The worst episode I saw was I Sing The Body Electric. At least your midget episode sounds unintentionally funny, ISTBE is just plain bad and boring.

The one where the guy is given a robot woman to cure his loneliness as he serves out his prison term on Mars.

>media made before 1990s
Most of Yea Forums hasn't seen it

I'm a sucker for the sentimental ones with happy endings, especially Night of the Meek. I also liked the one with Robert Redford as Death

The one with Shatner and the fortune teller machine in the diner
The one with Talky Tina

Found it.

The one with the little invaders is, may Allah forgive me, kino

>The one with Talky Tina
Great episode, but why didn't the dude just buy some cement and encase the little bitch?

Don't you ever fucking tell me what to do

Sounds interesting. What's the name of the episode?

First one is Nick of Time, great ep

And when the sky was opened is one of my favorites

A Nice Place to Visit.

Beyond your generic muh ebil peegs shtick, what's going on here?

You can't shoot them if they're "shooting" you, haha.

>Can somone explain why they like this one so much?
For me, it's the scene where he transforms from "hapless prisoner" into "FUCKING SATAN" as he walks between the pillars

The camerawork and effects are just so good

God damn, I feel like I need to download this episode and make a webm of that scene

I hope you're fucking with me.

Those kinds of "be careful what you wish for" episodes are always terrible.

This is Jordan Peele's Twilight Zone.

KILL EVIL WHITEY ZONE

the one where donald pleasance is a teacher about to commit sudoku.

Why is he just going to shoot them in the first place?

Looks like it's from silent hill or something

Either the one with the dude who breaks his glasses and can't read his books in the apocalypse or "Perchance to Dream" where the guy can't go to sleep or he dies

You know it must be the Twilight zone when that many blacks gather and no one chimps out

Because he's a cop and they're black?

good twist, imo

Made dying seem fun

The one episode about the korean war where the sarge can see who will die next.

My personal favorite. Classic TZ.

"But Can She Type?" is probably my favorite. It's short and the story is very simple and silly but I felt very related to the main character and wishing people didn't think you are worthless.

He didn't fly so good

The only one from the '80s series that I can recall seeing is the one where the teacher has to outsmart a demon. Just looked yours up; sounds like a fun episode

And When the Sky Was Opened--first 'creepy' one.

Atrocious editing.

The worst episodes where the videotape ones. I'd rather watch an actual Golden Age live drama not that 60s invitation.

I heard that the filming experience was so bad, this guy didn't even attend the premiere.

The hunt. Nice doggo episode.

There's no reason to lose your head just because you had a bad day at work.

After watching the Negrotown sketch, I'm pretty sure Peele doesn't understand black people at all.

I love that one with the teacher. I haven't seen many of the black and white episodes yet, but the 80s seasons are my favorite because of the background music, the washed out and blurry colors and how everything seems to glow. I know 80s stuff was like that in general but it makes the TZ look more creepy and magical to me that way.

>"To See The Invisible Man"

Society basically punishes people for being assholes by pretending they simply don't exist for a year. Most relish not having to talk to anyone, but by the end of their sentence they become so desperate for human interaction they change their ways. Based ending too!

I want to watch this one now because there's a dog in it

I will agree with this. I will also agree with

>The worst episodes where the videotape ones. I'd rather watch an actual Golden Age live drama not that 60s invitation.
I change the channel as soon as I see one of these episodes. They might be phenomenally written, but I'd never know because I can't get past the awful appearance.

>THIS IS THE OTHER PLACE

I liked the one where the old dudes played poker against the Devil to save their buddies soul, of course the Devil cheats and got caught.

Walking Distance, childhood feels

>I liked the one where the old dudes played poker against the Devil to save their buddies soul, of course the Devil cheats and got caught.
Reminded me of the one where the old man wanted to buy new robot bodies for himself and his wife, and tried to get the cash in a poker game with the mobsters.

That was a nice scene.

Bollie ended up destroying that kid's faith in miracles in such a way that it becomes soul crushing an he deserved to lose.

TV Media made before the 90s knew how to pace themselves rather well and make episodes feel longer. That's why old shows are far more memorable while everything made nowadays are shit.

The one where the mobster goes to Hell, but thinks it's Heaven for a while was one of the best.
