What are your favorite creepypastas? for me?
1. Huntsville Camping Trip
2. Ted the Caver
3. No End House

Full of plotholes as it is, but for me it's The Gallery of Henri Beauchamp

Kayden Jackson
>Watch this tv series and rate it on IMDB or your mom dies in her sleep tonight.
Brody Reyes
Did they cover the best one?
Owen Young
Please tell me I'm not the only one who fucking hated NoEnd House. It employs every stupid cliche in the book and it's not well written. If it's a metaphor for heroin addiction/withdrawal, that makes it a tiny bit better but not much.
Sebastian Anderson
Already exists
Jayden Collins
My favorites:
The Perfectly Behaved Boy: A Dark Christmas Tale
The Devil Game (except the ending ruins it)

White With Red
Gateway of The Mind
Mr. Widemouth

Used to read creepypastas all the time, most sucked but I amassed a library of ones that I really liked. I'll post more kino ones if I remember them.
Ethan Thomas
the smile.jpg creepypasta was the first one I ever read and it fucked me up real good
Bentley Mitchell
the ones that I remember freaking me out as a kid
>that image where the photo is a hard-to-make-out closeup of half of an old womans face
>the one where you're trapped in a room with some monster pretending to be your father and you have to somehow escape without alerting him that you know something's up, but he knows anyways
>something about pretending to be asleep but the evil thing knows you're awake
hopefully these make sense to somebody lol
Kevin Smith
No

Yea user pic related I remember

Nah you're good user I remember most of those just the second one I can't put a finger on but it definitely rings a bell
Jacob Baker
Honestly most of them were pretty poorly written but I remember No End House being ok at least as far as creepypastas go. It's been years since I read it tho so I'd probably cringe reading it now. Some of them I thought were always trash even as a young teen like Jeff the Killer

As soon as I read the part about the game, I knew exactly how the story was going to end, but somehow seeing it written so plainly was still kind of disturbing.

Bumpo please post more creepy stories please. Some of these I haven't read before.
Parker Hernandez
>jvk
>Pale Luna
>Sunlit Nightmare
It's been awhile since I read these (after realizing that there was Barker, Lovecraft, and other established horror writers I could read instead), but I enjoyed creepypastas. Even though lost episode stories tend to be shit, the idea of a completely unexplainable broadcast of a somewhat gruesome nature (Broadcast Interruption comes to mind), is a pretty good template for horror. There's also shit like the Goatman story which, despite being derived from older legends, has the disjointed speech characteristic. Such a shame that most people write on /r/nosleep (which has some vague, amorphous redditor prose that angers me in ways I cannot explain).
Matthew Parker
nice get
it's gotten really bad over the last few years but the nosleep reddit has some legitimate author tier stories
William Reed
that image used to freak me out so much growing up
Charles Thomas
I just read this and it comes off as someone who's favorite book is "I have no mouth and must scream" and always has to tell people.
David Myers
Nice quads.
Anthony Hall
Smiledog is the fucking shit. They need to make one of those mid-budget indie games in first person where you're a kid in a family and you get to realize your family's dog is somewhat similar to that one. If he finds out at any point in a branching story then things would go to shit or something like that
Not really good at explaining it but the premise looks really scary
Luis Bailey
Are these established horror writers really worth reading? The thing is, I've read some famous short horror stories, and they actually have kind of sucked because, big surprise, I had already seen those kinds of stories done in creepypastas that were clearly ripping off the original stories. But even so, I can't help but remember the creepypastas more fondly because I read them first. And yeah, nosleep hasn't been even close to good for four years. Everyone writes like they expect people to care about them, the narrator, when really they just want to read creepy shit.
Penpal and Borrasca were good, especially the former, and the authors went on to be really successful. There were others I liked back in the day that I couldn't even hope to find anymore due to Reddit's fucked up vote inflation pushing all the old 1-2k upvoted stories off the top-rated pages.
Cooper Flores
for me? It's Normal Porn for Normal People
Michael Mitchell
Jaxson Smith
There's something about that story that perfectly evokes an unsettling feeling, like you're being watched. There's never a huge payoff, it could have happened more feasibly than most creepypastas, and it's just the right amount of ambiguous.
Robert Lopez
yea it has a tad bit of subtly which most pastas lack. it's not all HYPER REALISTIC BLOOD bullshit
Michael Morgan
me too, I think that whole snuff film dark web aesthetic lends itself well to horror shit, shame it isn't used in more stuff. nice trips btw
Evan Clark
>Are these established horror writers really worth reading?
Eh, I don't know about the genre as a whole. I'm just really autistic about Lovecraft, as well as Ligotti of course. It tends to be more troublesome to produce a "literary horror" story than a creepypasta, though, as it is forced to follow along different strains of thought, away from what is directly found in a creepypasta (as in, the story must slowly transform it from familiar to the unfamiliar in an orderly and structured fashion, while something on the Internet can have normal, conversational dialogue and maintain its authenticity). I guess it's an acquired taste, depending on how much you want to consume horror shit.

I would buy this one if they turned it into a movie.

can anyone recommend this?
Owen Davis
The Egg, althought i don't know if it counts as one.
Brody Gomez
Do we know is channel zero is getting anotber season? No end house was actually very kino.
Nicholas Jenkins
Wanted to get into it really badly, but I just couldn't. It even had a cool as fuck premise, but I didn't like how often the narrator stuck his nose in and started talking about his own life rather than letting the documents he was looking at speak for themselves.
Josiah Butler
Jeremiah Cruz
Here's every creepypasta of note I can recall. Not all of them are good, just worth remembering
>Borrasca 1-5
It's interesting, but way over the top. "Guess what son, I own the fuck camps and your sister works for me now" was a bit too much.
>I Dared My Best Friend to Ruin My Life
It's funny, but not realistic in the slightest. Like a shitty down to earth part of JoJo's.
>Funnymouth
Actually creepy, check it out
>The Showers
It's good, didn't scare me though.
>NoEnd House
Why the fuck did this get sequels.
>Penpal
Definitely more realistic than most, also love how it's more tragic than anything.
>Haunted Majora's Mask
Very well written for shit posted to here.
There's probably more I liked but can't remember. Shame that internet spook stories got bogged down by all these dickheads uploading "3 TRUE Stories from r/nosleep"
The Pizza Delivery subgenre that came out of these is the only good part
Dominic Ross
It's very gimmicky
Andrew Perry

I'm not sure if you're being ironic or not. Maybe I forgot a legitimately tragic piss taking scene, but the story is very tragic.
>mother gets fucked by paranoia
>best friend disappears
>decide to fuck his sister and she gets kill by deranged pedo who steals her phone
>best friend was apparently kidnapped by said pedo
>pedo made him wear your old clothes and probably sexually abused him
>paid the kid's own dad to dig his son's grave and bury him with the pedo
God, just thinking about it makes me sad.
Easton Reyes
Easton Davis
looking back on creepypasta im embarrassed to have ever liked it
>jeff the killer is a young teen bullied and rises up on the bullies and kills them
>story opens with jeff the killer watching a kid hanging onto the ceiling and says "GO TO SLEEP" and the kid screams and the dad bust in with a shotgun and gets a knife thrown in his shoulder as jeff the killer escapes
why do I remember this shit
Kayden Flores
Jeff the Killer was just particularly bad I remember cringing at it even back when I first read it at 14. Some of them are decent and have still stuck with me.
Alexander Evans
You now remember the following
>Retsupurae
>MichaelLeroi and Bad Creepypasta
>Bullshit Creepypasta Storytime
>MrCreepypasta and his gang
>LOLSKELETONS
>Hyperrealistic
God, I remember people used to post images just labelled 'Jeff the Killer Anime' and they'd either do the generic pic related or show the clusterfuck that is Jeff the Killer with its spin-offs, showing off Homicidal Liu, Jane the Killer, other fucking characters. God it was shit. Thank God Slimebeast took the piss out of it by making a story where Jeff is a Chuuni and the bullies are just dudebros who get harassed by "that kid"
Evan Green
Not ironic, If I remember correctly the reason the stalker can kill the girl is because he leaves her in the parking lot so he can take a piss behind the theatre.
It really hit me because it's such a normal and innocuous thing that turns into a horrifying scene.
Levi Jackson
Oh yeah
That scene actually made me laugh now that I think about it
>see a horror movie with your presumably dead best friend's sister
>have to go take a piss because you're 12 and can't hold it
>come back
>her body is like a fucking ragdoll on the road
Ryder Ross
That was actually the saddest scene for me because it seemed like things were getting better for him but some unforeseeable shit just makes everything way worse.
Eli Cruz
Easton Ross
It's a lot of fun, I really enjoyed it especially Johnnys Moms letters. Great read.
Nathan Flores
For most of them the creepiest thing was the picture(s), the stories where basically fanfiction tier

Which ones are non-supernatural (or at least open ended enough to be interpreted as either) creepypastas? Like I guess 1999 (which got taken off the wiki) sort of is one? Any others?
Logan Edwards
We've had several already and it seems like no one's been incredibly thrilled about any of them.
>tfw you go reread some of the "lost episode" creepypastas that were the shit in 2010
>now that you grew up they're fucking garbage
Dominic Moore
>dude scary noises
I don't get it

Fuck, I used to follow those guys for so long.
They're still doing Bad Creepypasta, though a lot of the folks that they worked with have basically died in terms of internet presence.
ThirdOfClubs is gone despite being one of the most based people there, hasn't uploaded in a year.
Overanalyst was already off and on but I guess he got a real big boy radio job.
Alexo is apparently still around, probably still doing off-brand BCP.
Their old editor who did a hilarious Sonic video deleted their channel apparently.
And Vinnce12 (the black guy) streams stuff now.
Kayden Ortiz
Channel Zero?

Most of these don't translate well, or otherwise just suck. I don't understand the last one though. Did the narrator kill Friend "B" or something?

This is actually the basis for season 2 of Channel Zero.
Leo Jones
>it's a 'creepypasta is literal selfinsert fanfiction about a video game or the author finding a strange website in the early 00s' episode
It's like half of these creepypastas are written by pasty nerds with no real world experience who spend their days online
Mason Gutierrez
>reading a navidson paragraph which leads to a footnote which leads to a johnny diatribe
Hmmm... it's like the book is some kind of maze folding in on itself, a... labyrinth?
Jonathan Hernandez
I never ventured too far into the creepypasta community, because I didn't feel like wading through scores of shit to get to anything decent, so I just know the entry level stuff. In no particular order:
>The Rake
>Godzilla NES (before the "final battle", it's pretty good)
>No End House
>Some random skinwalker story I read on /x/ years ago
If we're counting SCP:
>SCP-087 (the endless staircase)
>SCP-2399 (the world-destroying machine currently repairing itself in Jupiter)
Jaxson Roberts
I feel the better ones tend to be short
Gateway of the Mind is pretty interesting although the ending lacks any subtlety and kinda sucks
Ryan Collins
Connor Young
>americans in charge of copypasta
Blake Richardson
God, NoEnd House fucking SUCKS. Everyone loves it, and I thought at least you cynical bastards on Yea Forums would agree, but even you all seem to think it's one of the better ones out there.
Jace Foster
Hey I’m trying to browse this board comfy in bed at night can you stop bumping this shit so I don’t have a mini heart attack every time I refresh the catalog thanks
Michael Reed
Noah Johnson
Do people actually find creepypastas scary?
Colton King
don't look in there
Charles Bailey
They're supposed to be unsettling not scary
Who the fuck gets scared of text
Liam Myers
Bo!
Kevin Johnson
you know you can hide threads right?
Anthony Lee
Last one is pretty straightforward. Three friends: narrator, A and B. Narrator goes
"Hey didn't see anything spooky did you"
A goes "Not me"
B goes "I didn't either"
and someone else says "I didn't see a thing" which implies it was a ghost or someone else dunno
I'm kinda not sure about the 2nd one and completely lost on the third one
Adam Thompson
Imagine being this much of a faggot.
Caleb Morgan
Link to the original thread?

Wow, that is a genius idea! They should put it on adult swim right after Rick and Morty!! EPIC!

Candle Cove was one of the first creepypastas I ever read back in like 2012 and it's still my favorite. Had no idea Channel Zero was a thing until after I saw the DVD of the first season at a Walmart. My eyes went wide open and bought it without hesitation. I now own the first 3 seasons of the show and I have yet to watch a single episode of any of it but I look forward to the day I sit down and watch it especially since I hear it's all good. I do know that the Candle Cove story was covered in it's entirety in the first few episodes and then it goes in another direction but whatever. I'm just glad this shit happened even though they fucked it over by setting it in the (((80's))) instead of the 70's which it should have been.
Josiah Walker
Basically someone posted variations of that 'Steamworks go bye bye always on DRM' thing several times on a Reddit board, pretty eerie stuff, peaking people's curiosity. Most people assumed it was some internet prank thing by dedicated shitposters or something like that and some people went on to investigate and find out more
Years later after a lot of speculation they find out it was some dude, early 20s, who suffered from extreme chronic pain and was quite literally losing his mind do to illness and strong medication so he'd spam complete nonsense on difference websites
Guy ended up killing himself some years ago
You can check his Reddit username (cant remember right now but you can Google it) and see his posts about how his life is a living hell, discussing medications and how to cope with the pain. It's honestly pretty sad
I remember one of his posts was 'I'd kill my whole family and everyone I know if it meant living a pain-free life, although I know that's not possible'
Nicholas Wilson
btw he'd spam the 'Steamworks go bye bye always on DRM' thing for hours on end, thousands of times in a day
He was completely out of his mind before commiting suicide
William Flores
I remember being 15 and reading Suicidemouse and watching the video. Neither of them mean anything to me now but they were very affecting when you're right at that certain age. I thought it was real and was unsettled by the music as well as the guy at the end (who was that guy? Skip to 7:02):
youtube.com
Years later I learned the story was fake as was the video, and it took the mystery and suspense out of it for me.
