>News: FP2 Results: LEC VER SAI t. Doomilton: Nothing we change on Mercedes F1 car makes a difference Ricciardo increasingly nervous as expectations of home crowd continue to grow
Hamilton says that Mercedes' trials are not yielding any signs of improvement.
"It's just nothing we change on the car makes a difference at the moment," explained Hamilton after Friday running. "So that's the difficult thing. You're getting very optimistic, and then you make changes, and then it doesn't seem to be wanting to improve.
"We made some changes going into P2. P1 was better. P2 ended up being a bit harder for me. So I don't know, it's just a tricky car."
Hamilton said he was resigned to accepting that the current pace is what he is going to have to deal with over the Australia weekend.
"There's not a lot we can do," he said. "That’s just the way it is. Things will never be the same. And so we just have to drive with it. That's the frustrating thing: you're trying to push, you're trying to catch [up] and even when you do a decent lap, it's 1.2 seconds down. So it's difficult."
I wonder if Merc assumed they were still going to have an engine advantage again this year and thought it could make up for any deficiencies in their chassis design
I think there’s a decent chance we see wider wider pods on the Merc from Imola or Spain onwards.

When you love someone, it's natural, not demanding And that's one thing I'm proud to say I've found in you I'm so glad we reached an understanding Now I know my heart is safe with you, ooh So now my love to you, baby, I surrender
Get ready, tonight Gonna make this a night to remember Get ready, oh, baby, tonight Gonna make this a night to remember
Will we get one of these with sharl and sainz driving the Ferrari SUV?

They can't simply switch chassis because homologation takes a lot of time and switching something as big and inherent as a chassis concept takes a long time

that's been their plan for the past 8 years and it always worked, i'm sure they expected others to also lose power with the switch to e10 but didn't expect Honda to get a net zero and Ferrari to actually be /superfast/ unlikely, they barely have CFD/wind tunnel time after spending most of it on picrel, they will wait for the summer break if they want to bring such a big upgrade
Biggest misstep by a big team in the aero department since Williams brought in the Walrus nose for 2004

I didn't actually praise it, this is too much pressure for me. It skews a lot more towards the highbrow deep themes Proust sort of thing than Jane Austen fyi, it's a lot more about ideas of Christianity and stuff. I found it pretty fun, and it'll probably grow on me with time till I decide I really liked it, but it's not a quick read

I note that F1 official Twitter has now started upload clips from f1 sessions that feature their F1TV commentators (Cuxton, Palmer, Cool Black Tech Guy) rather than the Sky feed. Interesting…

>Mercedes winning constantly every year >Stan Twitter gets bored of MWL but not HWL >Cost cap and new regulations supposed to make an equal playing field >Stan Twitter complains that there is no longer HWL and blames Mercedes
I dont get it. The Cost cap is supposed to hurt the bigger teams so everyone has an equal playing field so why are people complaining.
Because it only manged to harm "one" of the 3 big spenders.

Sainz’s Ferrari is porpoising like mad and he’s still able to set very competitive lap times. The Mercedes has bigger flaws than porpoising I think.

The House The Garden And The Steeple: A Collection Of Old Mottoes Book of inscriptions from old English relics, The Garden is about death and The Steeple about god, but The House chapter is full of great old obscure sayings and phrases I find very thought-provoking.
I do not respect Red Bull as a Formula 1 team or as a beverage.

Hamilton is the GOAT. The fact that the undeniably greatest driver in history is impacted by something so mundane means that Mercedes is doing a horrible job, possibly intentionally to sabotage him.

hundreds of years from now people will say the same about current time's shitposts
I respect how the team has been top 3 for over a decade, but I don’t respect any energy drink. I look upon people who swig down energy drinks the same way I look upon anime fans and people who watch Twitch streamers — with utter disdain.
I prefer him when he first raced in F1 for Sauber. That’s the season when Ruth made him do the special warmup exercises in the Sauber dungeon, and the year that Federica started dropping thinly veiled hints in his presence
