Such a rad movie, I think I've seen it like five times
Also his friend is really cool, glad he's getting some bigger roles, he was great in Mosaic

I've no regreeeeeeets

We’ve all already seen it. What took you so long?

Green Room is better

rewatched it the other day. for some reason it wasn't as gritty as I remembered

For being shot on a half a million dollar budget it was really good.

based Buzz

is it really? i've heard the opposite from some friends so i havent got around to watching it yet

i just watched it & endgame 5 hours ago
>endgame was boring as fuck
>blue ruin was kino and washed the boring taste out of my mouth

It's easily Saulnier's best. Blue Ruin is a close 2nd for me but Green Room is just miserable and gritty from start to finish which i like.

I remember liking the scene and the dialogue near the end where the protag is next to someone in the hood of their car or something

I agree it's his best. Total misery throughout. Any thoughts on Hold The Dark? I thought it was watchable but I expected much more.

Haven't gotten around to watching it yet. Guess I'll check it out tonight.

I was pretty disappointed by it.

Blue Ruin reminds me a lot of Jeff Nichols' first film - Shotgun Stories. Both are kinda the same, simple Shakespirian stories about two families and how revenge and violence just breeds more violence.
I'd say Blue Ruin is a better debut film, but overall Nichols is a superior, more versatile and interesting director

Personally I prefer Blue Ruin more. Green Room is still a really good movie though, but it's a lot of misery, the entire time.
Blue Ruin, while it's still a serious and depressing film at times, is still a powerfantasy to a certain extent, puts you right in the shoes of a broken hobo and shows you how things would go if you decided to go on some quest for vengeance.

My favorite scene in Blue Ruin is probably the restaurant scene where he starts crying as he tells his sister he's killed the guy.

Watched this for the first time when I woke up at like 2AM today. It was solid

boring slow ass shit

yeah it was brilliant

Green room is one of the best thrillers i’ve ever seen, but blue ruin is still pure kino.

Been meaning to see this. My nigga Zodiac Motherfucker has been shilling it for years.

I just realized that I never fucking watched Hold in the Dark.

Is it good?

>No Macon
what did Saulnier mean by that?

Ya Dud

Wtf I just realized he's the mystery guy in Swamp Thing
