It has zero rewatchability. It’s ok on first viewing. There’s a lot of padding by Inarritu to try and make the audience think the movie has more thematic depth than your typical revenge movie.

I remember for like a year before this movie there was a big push for Leo getting an Oscar. It became a meme on social media. Then they gave it to him. Which goes to show Oscars don’t mean shit anymore. It’s a joke.

It was a weak year and he campaigned hard for it. The award rarely goes to the person that deserves it.

It's "DUDE PELTS LMAO" the movie. It's enjoyable, but it's one of those movies were you just see it once and that's it.

he got it more for effort over the years than for any particular skill. revenant was just the most opportune moment to give him it. it helped that no one really stood out that year

All the scenes I've seen make it look great, but I get the feeling most of the scenes are in the beginning of the movie and they normally involved Fitzgerald.
