I haven't gone through the thread yet but fucking Glenn is easily the worst character in the show - I don't know if it was the kid's idea or Wiener's to put him in the show but he sucks the goddam life out of every scene in which he's involved (doesn't help that they partnered him with one of the most wooden actors on the show in January Jones, even if she is a 10 looks-wise).

The Glenn storyline is actually very interesting, it's just ruined by January Jones. Glenn's weird autistic delivery worked with his character but Jones couldn't play off it because she can't act.

I always got the feeling that Weiner had some kind of crush on a neighbor's mom growing up so he was self inserting as Glenn. I think that's why he just forced his own son into the role. Notice how he hasn't been in anything since Mad Men.

Betty is the most tragic character on the show. That episode where they go to Rome tells you everything about why she's so miserable in her day to day life. By the time she finds another calling in life, she gets terminal cancer and accepts it with grace. Cold stuff.
