are there any valid criticisms for this movie other than "its edgy"?

I too want to know if it's aged well
It is a movie that is popular with teen boys, therefore it is bad
Not much
not really, its a very good move, great fitting sound track good acting, great direction, the themes and plot are solid, the only critisim is "you dont get it the way i get it" which for makes the film bad for some retarded reason
It has the usual problem of Nietzschean stories, which is, since the overman is unknown, a story about the overman can only gesture at him. That is, the story of Tyler and the fight clubs and Project Mayhem is about "self-overcoming," but because the screenplay wasn't written by overmen, they couldn't answer, overcoming to what. So the Nietzschean themes sort of fall away, and the movie ends up at anarchism.
>the only critisim is "you dont get it the way i get it"
WOW what do you mean the movie isn't about gay sex??
I personally just felt like it lost its grip in the second half. It starts to slow down, the characters aren't as interesting anymore. Bellatrix feels annoying and repetitive. It's a lot funnier and quippier and interesting when everything's getting set up; when shit starts to go under way, I remembered checking my watch a couple times.
Still fantastic fuckin kino though and I fuckin' hate its reputation for being a "bro movie" therefore bad. Can't fucking talk to anybody about it
>what ever reason you think its about its not its about the reason i know its about becuase of my supirior intellect and a film can only have one meaning or message and is completly non-objective reeeeeeeeeeeee
lol
yeah the 2nd half has a completely different feel to the 1st half
i feel like the last act of shaun of the dead has the same problem
i'd even go as far as to say that the change in tone is completely justified; the movie gets more insensitive and bleak as ed norton more and more detaches from his sense of self. it's just not as entertaining, and that's an entirely superficial subjective lil opinion i have on what is otherwise a retardedly good movie
>mfw there is a sequel where tyler creates ISIS
i wish i was making this up
28 days later also, such a shame, mind you i dont feel like fight club falls down myself, but it does change direction but i dont feel its neccerily bad
the sequel dosnt exist....GOT IT?
>first rule of fight club 2
Thank you
toxic masculinity
It's a direct answer to the emasculation of modern men. Men are sick of being raised to be like little girls so movies (especially well-made movies) that glorify fascism and mayhem are heralded as the next coming of Christ.
TL;DR - It's fucking kino.
wow look at you you fucking genius give me more intro to sociology words
fuck off tranny, theres no such thing, also have sex
Godamn, are you seriously that easy to troll champ?
It’s a commentary on manhood written by a gay man
Kino though
thanks for the good thread bros
regards, OP
disguting, it encourages incel rebellion
GAMERS RISE UP
First, overcoming society's castration of violence
Then, overcoming society's moral basis to create a tabula rasa
The key is self-overcoming: man (not "society," but the individual) is something that must be overcome. Crushing a coffee shop doesn't change the nature of man. Tyler talks a lot about freeing yourself from yourself, but the delivery is blowing up some buildings. This is why the ending feels flat to a lot of people.
How many disgruntled fatherless young adult men did they even manave to recruit by the end of the film? That can't be too many right?
He blows up the credit system and reduces the economy to the stone age.
Tyler should have been very redpilled about the jq
Otherwise all his arguments about materialism and the modern male rings hollow
It has a shitload of peripheral characters who all express the same general idea that men are being emasculated, but not much else.
