Rented that on vhs probably 5 times as a kid in the 90s. Should’ve just bought it. Some good scenes. Watched it last summer for the first time since Bill clinton was president and the key scenes held up (John Candy skiing, bear story and Aykroyd saving his girls from the cave). I always liked the idea of a cabin lake vacation with family.

Classic. Uncle Buck is also pure kino.

>Gonna introduce Mr. Thick Dick to Mr. Urinal Cake.
Always thought that line was a bit too risque for a family movie.

Only fellow boomers know

Uncle Buck was based. Here's a quarter, go downtown and have a rat gnaw that thing off your face.

What About Bob!

I also liked when they fell asleep in the boat and woke up covered in leaches

We watched this movie in psychology class in high school

>imagine going to see this with your clueless dorky white suburban family.

Here I am

John Candy should have made a comedy with Kurt Russell in the 80s. It would have been mega kino.

Is that the movie where he try’s to make out with his wife and her bra gets caught in the garbage disposal?

Saw it at the theater. The toys were awesome.

>Became a hit.
>Still flopped.

The aesthetic of this movie profoundly bothered me as a child. Edward Scissor Hands gave me a similar feeling of deep unease.

great outdoors is kino

I loved Edward Scissorhands. It really affected me seeing his father (Vincent Price) die at a young age. Also the end fight.

I watched this last year or so on TV and it was so awful

I bet you love Stranger Things.

Here's some matches; set yourself on fire!

Your opinion is so awful.

Man, that's a shitty opinion.

I remember that strange sequel where there were on a boat or something. Also, wasn't Jill from Home Improvement in these movies for some reason?

Still funny to this day.

They wanted to catch Catfish Hunter because Jack Lemmons dad never could. It's the backbone of the entire film.

30 yo boomers are the best boomers

I have seen this movie probably more than anyone else in the world.

I like him in Roxanne.

We never sang in long car drives...

I watched this movie on mushrooms a couple years ago and laughed so hard at how big of a jackass Dan aykroyd is in this.

I met him irl like 6 years ago and all I could think about was him trimming his nose hair in the mirror and getting a blowjob from a ghost.

When I was a kid this looked cool, now as an adult Madonna and Warren Beaty look comical

The creepy twins though

Actually one of the best comedy duos of all time. Odd couple 2 is so good

Big mood

What was up with all the divorced parents in 90s movies

Divorce rats starting going way up in the early nineties. Its worse now and movies over the last decade indicate that.
