This series is a disaster on so many fronts, but I was desperate for alien sci-fi and kept going. How did they manage to make something this awful?
This series is a disaster on so many fronts, but I was desperate for alien sci-fi and kept going...
It's rare to see something so universally agreed to be garbage
It's so bad that it feels intentionally so. It's kind of impressive.
Condense most of the season into a couple of episodes, cut out the gay drama, and then focus more on the cool alien interstellar wars. There I fixed it.
Probably a money laundering scheme
Is it really this bad?
It's 10% sci-fi and 90% soap opera relationship drama. Mostly boring.
Even reddit hates it
It could work if either of the two parts was even halfway decent.
Got all my co-workers to watch it. They all agree it's trash. It's kinda fun getting to the office and someone drops to the ground and starts shouting "oh no! my nerves are escaping!" or something.
Get a few friends and hate watch it together.
I liked the concept and that's about it. Now that it's pretty much guaranteed to be canceled, I'm a little bummed that I won't be seeing what the Achaia look like.
Forgot to mention that there was legitimately one instance of true kino, and that's when the nervous system escaped that woman's body.
The first 10 minutes or so of ep1 made it seem so promising.
I grew up watching 70s and 80s trash sci-fi. I still love low-budget schlock.
I made it about 20 minutes into the first episode before I had to turn it off.
Niko looks like a leather skinned amazon
I am just incredibly thankfully to see Katee's ass.
They literally have billions of people to choose from to so of course they bring on a sassy minority girl and a bunch of children. The entire "you urdered him" narrative to build tension and I assume eventually lead to some kind of conflict was so false it only annoyed me. They have a computer program guy who can be everywhere but isnt able to sense anything nor hear the conflict AND why would they leave two people in that position by themselves? Its just miserably stupid. I had to turn it off 3 episodes in.
Swear this thread was made already
Only feminists can understand the show.
"omg we are all stoned on space plants! lets have a dance party with the hologram!"
The crew were infuriatingly stupid, how can they send a bunch of idiots that mutiny straight away on such a critical mission. Their complete inability to follow orders killed multiple crew members. Where the fuck was the military.
didn't make it past the first episode. nothing made any sense. since this is a Netflix show I hope it doesn't exist on any physical media and they can just delete it all.
>Where the fuck was the military.
They were the military man. When they were mocking the blonde white guy for being old they mentioned uniforms not being in use for at least a decade.
I liked it. I think what makee really like it is how for me they nailed what people are going to be like in the future if the current trend continues. The show is essentially children flying around in space. If you look at it like that it makes it more enjoyable.
I heat you.
The young engineering lady is cute AF tho. Literally the only good bit about the show.
>wake up in a pod
>immediately get oxygen turned off
the first few episodes are a brutal gauntlet of characters acting obscenely inhuman but there is some fun hamming to enjoy from goku
I quite enjoyed this show, people act aggressively stupid so you know it's depicting a future society where people have gotten used to getting whatever they want.
Also the scene where the nervous system is ejected from the body to try and live on it's own is KINO af
Economically it's a great show. Take the artifact scenes for example. They just put two actors and one extra on a meadow and that's it. Filmed the whole thing on an iPhone 5 and threw the cgi crystal dong in there. No extras walking around. No visible security perimeter. Just the one obligatory science guy and general. also obviously the one and only science dude married to the captain of the mission. didn't watch far enough, maybe there's only a few hundred humans left in the future. think of all the money they saved by making this show so crappy.
