I was playing TF2 like 8 years ago.
A guy was micspamming this over a game in 2fort.

My first thought was "Okay, this is annoying." and thought I was going to mute him.
Then "Jesus, is this going to end soon?"
Then "Good god, it never ends"

I kept listening out of fascination for where the fuck this was going.

Then it was "Holy merciful fuck. It's endless. What is this"

Then "I'm trapped in hell. I'm going to be listening to this weird spoken-sung story about infidelity for all eternity. Every time you think it's going to end, it just keeps going"

I listened to the entire thing over the course of an hour and a half (at the time I thought it was atleast 2 hours)

People voted to kick him like 5 times.
Each time he got closer, but the consensus of the server ended up being that we should keep him around.

It eventually ended.
There was a 15 second silence (there was a brief pause between each segment, I guess while he was changing the video). And then a guy said "Holy fuck it's over."

This endless game of 2fort that people had kept going so people could listen to this then ended within the next 5 minutes.

That cheesy, annoying R&B beat is permanently burned into my brain. I can hear it as clear as day.
It's still like nails on a chalkboard. I had happily forgotten that it existed.

The actual Trapped in the Closet series is fucking kino. Not only is it masterfully catchy, but it's absurd and comedic in a fresh, unseen way.
Despite how much of a scumbag R. Kelly may be, his music is damn good and so is Trapped in the Closet.

I remember literally downloading this track off limewire when that album released, but some dick took it and sped the track up so the vocals sounded like someone on helium getting fucked in the ass by demons and I was 1000% sure I'd just fucked the family computer with a virus.

Weird Al encouraged people to illegally download it when it came out

I didn't know that for sure, but I always took that as the meaning behind the song. Al's one of the good ones who understands that well made art supports itself and piracy only helps you by gaining exposure in places you'd otherwise never have it.
