Most of the stuff I actually like isn't theirs. There's some good documentary stuff and a few shows that are engaging enough (though not enough to call them good) to watch all the way through, like Colony, Enterprise, and Longmire, but there's not been anything somewhat good since House of Cards (which obviously shit the bed). I liked Marco Polo, even though it had a lot of flaws. Stranger things was interesting enough for the first season that I watched through the 3rd, but it felt like more of a waste of time than the other escapist BS stuff I've watched through, and I don't think I'll watch any of a 4th unless some talk compels me. If they continue on their trend and fuck up The Last Kingdom beyond the level of tolerable flaws it already has, I am done with them. I likely rate 4/5ths of what I have watched over the last year or so as dislike or hate before moving on to something else.

The seasons that weren't produced by Netflix are generally pretty good, though the "happy ending" episode in season 3 gets wayyyy too much praise and ruined the show because the creators were convinced people didn't want the dark shit the earlier seasons were known for. The season 3 episode is about how shitty and selfish it would be to make that choice in the ending.

Baseball and Prohibition are great, but Vietnam is literal shitlib revisionism and antiamerica circlejerk, and The West is 8 hours of white guilt self-flagellation.

Netflix has got some great anime on it, but I think Hulu has sort of outmatched it at this point.

I haven't used Netflix in a while, but last year me and my ex would regularly scroll the list of movies trying to find something to watch and every other one would have two men or two women kissing as the banner (generally two women). It's painful honestly because it's trying so hard to pander to a certain audience. The "straight" movies would rarely have a kissing banner but every lesbian one was suggestive. It's manipulative and low.
