everyone should see the entire evil dead trilogy at least once before they die
was the 2013 remake any good?
it's ok but it lacks some of the more original elements of the 1981 movie
Yeah I like John Terry
I got to meet him yesterday. Hes geniunely nice. Has surprisingly soft hands. Wears a suit quite well. Is soft spoken but assertive.
As far as his movies I think he does a great job with the tools and budgets available to him. Better than most in his position at least. Is he top tier? I dont know really but I can say he can get the job done well and he always turns a profit.
sounds like a great experience
>pics or it didn't happen
Sadly they made us pocket our phones since picture opportunities were like $100.
I don’t agree with his views on slavery, the holocaust, and eugenics, but he’s a great director.
DEFINITELY watch Evil Dead
Crawl is fun but it's definitely more Aja's joint than it is Raimi's. I like to think of it as "Piranha 3D except not fucking terrible"
bump4raimi
Oh I do got his autograph I could pic
sounds cool
The book
The autographs from Sam and Bruce
Sam Raimi’s autograph is creative. Bruce Campbell’s is just lazy.
Lol you are right. Bruce was legit funny though in person. I dont even think he acts. He just is
It's one of the best horror reboots in the past 20 years, even if that's not a low bar to achieve. It's entirely horror-based like the first ED, but with modern day resources and Raimi producing. It's fun.
I met Bruce in person too, can testify to this.
oh shit is crawl a raimi movie?!
drag me to hell is a fun watch too user
cool, how about darkman?
They were pushing crawl hard at the horror con
Why the hell would you watch Army of Darkness before Evil Dead or Evil Dead 2??
Raimi made capeshit in 1990, and it was pretty good.
I really wish somebody told me it was the third film
I grew up on the original movies, and went into the remake expecting a souless paranormal activities tier cash grab. It's actually really good. Some of the acting falls flat, but that movie is I think to blame for my Jane Levy kink and she's awesome in it. It's played straight (no comedy) and it actually works, also cgi wasn't overbearing like I expected IIRC it was blended nicely.
i've heard nothing but things from this
Tits or gtfo Amber
I saw it and liked it, haven't seen anyone talking about it though, even here. Only criticism is they give away too many kills in the trailer, ruins the suspense
Genuinely makes you think "fucking ow" during pretty much all kills. Very chunky sound design that makes you feel like anything can cut you. Well done remake.
Wifes name but heres her pic.
>marrying a thot with tattoos and piercings
Meh, its what I'm in to. Been married 15 years so were doing something right.
how did my thread about sam raimi devolve into this?
every decade I like him a little bit more
but they can skip Ash vs The Evil Dead
S1 was decent, but went down hill FAST after that
i liked all of it but yeah S1 was unrivaled in terms of horror (especially the raimi-directed pilot)
I always felt like he wasn't a raging liberal like the rest of hollywood until the AvTED episode with the preppers in the woods
What was your take?
Guarantee he is. If he werent he wouldnt be making semi decent movies. Just look at James Woods.
It was a different time.
You guarantee he is a raging liberal? I'm not sure I follow what you're trying to say...
Sam Raimi hasn't made a movie in years.
That was my introduction to Evil Dead as well
Wow youve gotta be trolling. Have you been to the movies this week?
He may not be raging but definitely left leaning over than centrist.
He strikes me as your average classic boomer liberal.
sam raimi is without a doubt one of Yea Forums's favorite. who else? carpenter, maybe?
I like this guys work a lot during short film fests.
